I run my clones under T5's for two weeks. I then transplant them, keep them under T5's for another 5-7 days till they start to root through. Once they look healthy, I move them under my 1000W MH's. They seem to love it that way. I do keep the MH's quite high but they love the spectrum

Do you have an EC or PPM pen? If you do use the same ratios and try and get your levels to about 1.6-1.8EC or 800-900ppm at week 2/3 of veg and onwards. Just remember you're going to need to add some cal mag to your water before you add the nutrients(about 0.5mg per liter)as coco can lock out...

I like to keep my ph at 5.8-6.0 and my ppm at about 700-800. If your finding your getting nutrient burn lower it but some plants benefit from that higher nutrient level

What sort of light's are you using and what is the light penetration to the lower leaves?

Do you use an oscillating fan blowing on your canopy? I normally find the constant air movement helps strengthen the stems

For big plants I like a Coco/Perlite mix. It's a bit more forgiving and if the pots are quite large you can get away with watering every few days

SOG is all about the quickest grow and making that up with plant counts. Most don't top because they have a minimum veg time and topping adds to that.

When I grew less but bigger plants I used tomato cages. Now I Use trellis that I can adjust the height on. Because my tables are on caster wheels I can wheel them out and still get to all the plants
