Berry Ryder - WTF lets SEED ONE

there are two kinds of kool bloom, with two different npk ratios and two different applications. the powder, which is what you are referring to, is a 2-45-28 that causes the plants to finish faster because of a stress response. you would use it in weeks 7 and 8 on a 9 week flowering variety...

    onyx bloom LED harvest pics

i would use straight perlite in the bottom of the bucket, with the coco/perlite mix on top. all the quoted advice above is pretty spot on IMO. i was never much of a seed grower, so i can't answer on what ppm for seedlings. when i did run seeds, i would use liquid karma to bring the pH of my tap...

    onyx bloom LED harvest pics

bleach water, 90% iso, or mix 5% vinegar with 3% hydrogen peroxide to make your own peroxyacetic acid (PAA). PAA actually does the best job out of the three for killing the widest range of microorganisms. the pollen itself will be destroyed by any of the three on the list, it's the water in...

    Hyroot's Garden

good choice on the oats- saphrophytic fungi love oats! it is my preferred food source for petri dishes when growing mushrooms because a lot of different mushroom species love it. some species are picky about food sources but they all seem to like oats. organic blue and yellow corn flour are...

    cpu heatsink issue

they work well together. i have a vero 29 running at 75w with the same heat sink. IME all that matters for thermal conductivity is the metal piece on the back of the COB. the thermal junction on mine gets up to 70C in an hour and a half and stabilizes there.

Anyone done a grow with Illumitex?

pet most people have issues with you because you're disingenuous and seem to be little more than a hype guy for new LED companies. when i called out the amare tech light for being an obvious evergrow design, you even flipped shit on me. i sell evergrow lights, i think i know what one looks...

First time grower...Tent, Hydro, LED/CFL combo. Thanks for any advice.

here are some low wattage passive cooled cree cobs for ~$0.50 per watt. you should be able to use these for veg no problem. keep 'em about a foot away, and one light per square foot. the 12 watt e27, unless you have odd light sockets already...

    What Ever Happened to Fogponics

oh yeah forgot to add- IMO napa part #8822 would probably be a good medium for the net cup in this application.

    What Ever Happened to Fogponics

you should be sure to clean off the head on your fogger occasionally. i have noticed hard water buildup on mine after a few weeks use with only 135ppm tap water. a cheap toothbrush should fit the bill just fine. i used ultrasonic foggers to provide humidity for a 100 sq ft mushroom grow room...

    vero 29 questions

you're on point with your commentary :) it's not being used because i can't grow for the next two years. i was planning on using kapton tape, but i couldn't find it locally and i have to save all the $ in my business account for my next shop purchase. this came out as a R&D expense, uncle sam...

    DIY led grow

yeah our house was not very well sealed. we were out in the middle of BFE so we weren't that concerned with smell leaks. it didn't even have central air, so where we installed the window unit was probably leaking CO2 pretty rapidly.

    Hyroot's Garden

that's the same way lighthouse tents are supported. i had 5 lighthouse tents and was very pleased with them. 3x 32"x32"x5', 1x 2'x4'x5', and 1x 5'x10'x7' i had several different lighting setups, 400w cmh in an air cooled hood, LED, fluorescents and they held up great. only time i ever had a...
