A Cash Flow Comparison Between Cultured Solutions and an identical DIY blend.

All I was trying to understand was the time period for which your calc was based on. Figure out how much you would use over a 13 week complete growth period. But I think you were just comparing it week to week. Overall though, I may have put too high a value on an individuals time, and...

A Cash Flow Comparison Between Cultured Solutions and an identical DIY blend.

First off, your quick calc based on a single week of growing? Right? In addition, the amounts of each fertilizer you are using could very well be lower than what the Cultured Solutions schedule specs for you. Additionally, I put more than just the raw cost of nutrients into that cost.

    fertilizer apps "hydrobuddy"?

Actually, it is possible to create an identical copy. Read the thread I posted here: https://www.rollitup.org/t/reverse-engineering-everyones-nutrients.893906/ Or go to my blog where I keep all the recipes. http://www.open-salt.com/fertilizer-database/

DIY Hydroponic Nutrients in 5 minutes

Gees, could we get some punctuation? Anyway, keep checking back. I'm constantly adding more recipes. And yes, H&G is on the list. What do you mean by "one day it may be 30 next day its 60"? The laws behind fertilizer labeling are pretty straightforward. But, I think the "few other things"...

Current culture U.C roots did I get the right thing?

Yes, you are correct. Sodium Hypochlorite is just a little easier to come by is all if you are using a dry powder.

Current culture U.C roots did I get the right thing?

UC Roots is a 0.028% solution of hypchlorous acid. Created via a solution of sodium hypochlorite. There’s been a fair amount of documentation in the hydroponics world about the uses and benefits of sodium hypochlorite. A great write up can be found here: Disinfecting your Hydroponic Solution...

    Reverse Engineering everyone's nutrients

That type of chelation has no effect. DTPA, EDTA, EDHHA, and citric acid are all just different types with different pH ranged. All of them can be found in different percentages. There is no "overkill" in this case as long as you know how to add what you need.

4 PH - 5 gall bucket need asap answer

Don't use baking soda. It's sodium bicarbonate, and while it will raise your pH, it will also raise your sodium levels. Reaching 75+ppm of sodium will start to fuck everything up. Use potassium carbonate(a dry powder) or potassium hydroxide(a liquid base). You may already know this, but just...

    Reverse Engineering everyone's nutrients

EDTA Chelated iron is the the stuff that works best in the pH range you just listed, that is, the best pH range for hydroponics applications.. EDHHA chelates work best in a slightly higher pH range. But if you're thinking about using potassium silicate in a hydroponics system, it's best to not...

    Reverse Engineering everyone's nutrients

It is water soluble. But it just depends on the solution pH. The lower pH of hydro solutions makes for shit solubility. A high pH(>10) makes for good solubility. This is why using it as a foliar spray is recommended.

    Reverse Engineering everyone's nutrients

Potassium Hydroxide is the strong base that forms with the conjugate weak acid carbonic acid. So, both will do the exact same thing. TBH, I can't make a recommendation without knowing how your water quality changes.

Is Advanced Cal/mg a good Nutrienes?

Personally, I think it's okay for a new grower to think of products like MiracleGro, Espoma, etc. They are simply fertilizer blends, after all. As per wikipedia: A fertilizer is any material of natural or synthetic origin (other than liming materials) that is applied to soils or to plant...

Is Advanced Cal/mg a good Nutrienes?

I agree. Fertilizer is still the easiest term to understand and the most accurate based on the context. TBH, I don't really understand why the bottled blends aren't called fertilizers, because that's what they are. It also doesn't bring with it the unintentional connotations surrounding the...

A Cash Flow Comparison Between Cultured Solutions and an identical DIY blend.

This analysis is here to show you the costs of buying Cultured Solutions vs using the dry constituents. That is, you will personally be making the UC Roots mixture, Veg A/B, etc. I posted it in the Nutrient forum, but realized this is probably a better place for this information. To see the dry...
