To improve umol in the corners you can stick a cob in each one. You can buy a couple of canopy rails from rapid. @Growmau5 reps that company plus those rails support most other led tech right now, 'connect ready' I believe the phrase is.
Any hardware store will carry different wires and crimpers. But aircraft cable is a common name and you will find all the different kind of crimping options in the same isle. generally in the fastener/hardware section of the store
They were growing under different lighting before? If so they could take a little while to adjust. Dim down and let settle for a week, are other parameters the same from pre-quantum to now? i.e. temps, humidity etc. and if after a week you don't see improvement then I would have to agree with...
The kits come with meanwell drivers and they are some of the highest quality I have seen as an electrician. They have wide driving range of 110v-240v and they can even be driven at 277v. The driver does NOT come with a plug i.e. you would fit your own plug that works with your outlet. And I...
you can test your castings, they will not only break down the nutrient value but they will also give approximate bio mass numbers of the microbiology in the sample.
yea @Black Thumb it can done if you know how to code and solder electronics. I have a hard time getting there, but it is all open source and large communities like this one to help you along. There are also programs that users write for garden automation that they share freely, quite a few...
yep, you are definitely on the right track and your research is paying off big time. You will save a considerable amount of cash . If you want any help during the build just PM me with pics and stuff and I can help you out
I understand your concerns regarding confidentiality, If I was certified confidentiality would be of upmost importance to me and potential clients that need my help.
With that 60 Amp breaker I would recommend installing a sub panel right next to your tents, then you can run out two separate...
Yes the two pole breaker with 60 amps would be perfect to dedicate to the grow that you are describing, and it would allow for expansion for more consumption if necessary. I would recommend hiring an electrician though
And I don't want to make anyone feel bad, I want to make sure people understand our advice and would not try and scale our recommendation. everyone should increase the gauge of their wire for longer runs. And I am thankful that you and others like pop are contributing and helping others better...
You probably should NOT cut the slates unless you have nice equipment to do so. there are companies that design heatsinks to your specification if you are looking for something more custom.
You know code and I am not arguing that, the only problem I had with your statement was your use of words and lack of context. People take advice pretty seriously on here. Electricity should be respected, especially if you are diy, most fires linked to grows are because growers assume that their...
where are your calculations? to say that voltage drop is great does not quantify nor give legitimacy to your claim. I ran the numbers in a calculator and I saw a drop of 2 volts out of 122 total at 50ft for DC. so by these metrics 2/122 is great?
Voltage and current drops usually do not occur until length of cord is in the thousands for AC (Standard house currents) and I am not too sure about DC but it is not dramatic enough to make a difference in spans less than 50 feet
That being said I really like @Budzbuddha mounting of drivers to...
Fucking autocorrect; CONSTRAINTS.
As in, ceiling height, number of plants, watts used, floor space, style of grow (hydro, organic, etc), goals, budget.
What's 9.3.6?
I believe it is their NPK.
are you running a coco heavy mix for media? @kaoss_11
The kit comes as is, or you can purchase (board, driver, heatsink) what you want and how you want it. If you are having a hard time deciding then go with a kit (easiest solution for most people) but if you follow the LED crowd and know how to match boards to drivers and want true customization...
and then just connect the splice box to the timer box? that sounds clean, and I could just use a short nipple to get the power into the splice box from the timer. I was trying to eliminate the need for the extra junction by making the timer the Jbox. I will have to draw something up and show my...
