    DD's cupboard swazi

My search history is filled with "can seedlings have trichomes" :weed: Also thought it was a bit strange considering that they're barely visible to the (far sighted) human eye. Power supplies arrived 30min ago. Heatsinks being cut today, just waiting for the cobs from Mr Cobkit and then I won't...

    DHP Presents Citizen Cob 1812 3500k 80CRI Vs 1812 3500k 90 CRI

Thanks. Would considering the curves, irrespective of them being represented on different scales on the Y axis, then not be able to provide some sort of comparison to the equivalent output of different wavelengths? That's how I understood it at least - the ratio of different wavelength ouptut in...

    DHP Presents Citizen Cob 1812 3500k 80CRI Vs 1812 3500k 90 CRI

Doesn't help if he's a condescending dick about it ;) His suggestion that my comparison was useless is so ridiculously pedantic. I understand what he's getting at and I don't disagree with him - if you're looking for an accurate comparison, the graphs are meaningless. But to say they're useless...

    DD's cupboard swazi

The plants are looking way better since I've added the extra light, as highlighted in the previous post. Hopefully they'll be catching up soon - I'm not too worried about them considering they're at one week and I'll just cover the stems where there has been stretch with leca. They are...

    DHP Presents Citizen Cob 1812 3500k 80CRI Vs 1812 3500k 90 CRI

I think you're still missing the point, being normalised to 100% makes it simpler to consider the relative output that each cob has - but seems like you're just being overly pedantic and trying to exaggerate how "useless" it is. Not gonna feed the troll :bigjoint:

Purple Cheese : Super Lemon Haze : Amelia Haze-LED 1000W Veg/Bloom Cycle Grow

I'm actually doing all this in preparation for what the MCC has planned, so if all goes well, I'll be putting a few more lights together. If you end up wanting in the future, let me know and I'll hook you up :) Until the next instalment!

That photo is past macro btw. Those leaves measured probably around 1cm long, so they are extremely small. That said, I've added another 30 led watts to the reflector and in one day I'm seeing a response. Can't believe how they've woken up since this morning. Here's a picture from when I woke up...

Purple Cheese : Super Lemon Haze : Amelia Haze-LED 1000W Veg/Bloom Cycle Grow

I'm learning like everyone else, I'm just a major nerd and have a thing for electronics and lighting as I work in a similar field. In terms of growing, I know very little compared to you ;)

Purple Cheese : Super Lemon Haze : Amelia Haze-LED 1000W Veg/Bloom Cycle Grow

As I understand it, high wattage isn't necessary for Emerson + initiator effects. I'll be adding only 2 of them to my setup as the far red initiator by Growmau5 is said to be enough for 1m², and has only 4x Cree XP-E far reds. I'm fairly certain 30W (18W 660nm, 9W 730nm and 3w 840nm) will be...

Anybody tried the ELG version of Meanwells, Rather than HLG...

Would it be dangerous to run 2x on a ELG240-54A? I've read some cautioning about running cobs in parallel, but I can pick up the ELGs for almost half the price of the HLGs. Also could I pester you to maybe explain how the 2x adjustment points work? Would it not be a matter of either controlling...

    101 Already Asked Questions

Hey folks Do I have anything to be concerned about with this little guy? The new growth looks a little yellow. The seeds are under a 39W CFL setup with reflectors. I saturated the rockwool once when planting, PH'd to 5.8 and again yesterday with 200ppm nutes and 100ppm calmag. I've added an...

Purple Cheese : Super Lemon Haze : Amelia Haze-LED 1000W Veg/Bloom Cycle Grow

I'm going to be ordering some 660nm/730nm/840nm custom cobs to test exactly that ;) Just some cheapies from china, $22 (R330 landed I guess) for a 14-19W cob. Plants are looking great man! Can't believe how fast they grow

    DHP Presents Citizen Cob 1812 3500k 80CRI Vs 1812 3500k 90 CRI

Yea, that's why you consider lm/W as well instead of isolating them, which would be useless. Also, perhaps you don't understand what the graphs are or what I was trying to explain. If comparing their output on that graph was useless, it would have never been published.

    DHP Presents Citizen Cob 1812 3500k 80CRI Vs 1812 3500k 90 CRI

I've been following this thread for so long, I already feel part of the club. Thanks so much man and thank you for sharing your findings so freely. Oh wow, I'll be copying your timing schedule from now on, it clearly gets results  :bigjoint:

I'm surprised how petty some of these stoners can be xD Arguing over who came up with ideas first etc. It's kind of hilarious. It's quite off-putting to a newcomer tbh, but amongst all the ego stroking, there's a ton of info to be had. Thermal cutoff seems like a fantastic solution. I've...

Thanks!! It's some outdoor grown smuggled into the country from Swaziland, I'm not expecting much ;) I've made some mistakes that I will be sure to not repeat. So far so good though, just loads of setup as I'm putting together some cobs diy and building a 25L bubbleponic rig with an extra 25L...

All you folks have convinced me. Prior to any growing experience, I have placed an order with BB. Doing a quick trial run on some bag seed before I get started with the good stuff. That said, how long does shipping normally take from BB? I couldn't find much info on the site - but I did pay for...

    DHP Presents Citizen Cob 1812 3500k 80CRI Vs 1812 3500k 90 CRI

Very interesting!! Sorry to drag your thread off topic, but do you think this could be beneficial in terms of trying to force the plants to show their sex a little earlier than normal? I've started a grow using bagseed and in my country we are technically only allowed one plant. So I'm trying to...

    DHP Presents Citizen Cob 1812 3500k 80CRI Vs 1812 3500k 90 CRI

I have no validity to confirm this and I am talking specifically about Citizen 1818s, but I will be using 4k 80cri for veg, in hopes of getting less stretch and aiming for maximum efficiency. However, I will be swapping to 3k 90cri when I flip them. I don't think they're "bad" so much as...
