    Club Quantum Board

Different color temp. I would have gotten all 3000k/3500k personally. Looks like you got 2x in 4000k or even 5000k.

Nice dude. Hell of a light. You'll get great penetration from that thing.

    Cheapest High Quality/Efficiency COB build?

This!!!!!!!!!!! Fuck COBs nowadays. The strips are cheaper, more efficient, provide muuuuch more even/uniform light, use a 3-5$ heatsink (vs. a cob using a $20-30 one....), and are just better in EVERY way. COBs cause hotspots/bleaching, have worse penetration, cost way more, are hard to cool...

    Quick help with plant symptoms

Always water thoroughly immediately after transplant!!!!!!!!!!! How old are the clones? You either need to feed nutes (namely nitrogen) or you're overwatering. Or both lol. Pics would help PH probes are useless. The kind u stick in the soil right? Runoff and input ph is what you look at...

    The klx Way!

Do you just top off the res or do you do res changes every 1-2 weeks? I use organic additives, even in dwc, so a weekly res change is a must. With topoffs if needed, and sometimes nutrients in the topoffs.

Opinions on CMH lighting for flower

It's not bad for height with decmh. My friend runs a 630w de cmh in a 4x4' and keeps it 24" high. The 1000w decmh would need a good 30-36" tho

    bman's shenanigans

Wow dude nice plants. They look great.

    carbon filter needed really bad.

    I also recommend a 6" for a 2x4". I had lots of heat issues with 400w of LED in a 2x4 using a 4" fan.

    Led Users Unite!

Dude you need to stop spreading this bullshit. You have no idea what you're talking about. Light penetration is far too complex for you apparently. Ive explained how it works to you over and over and shown you insane pics of LED grows with 10 foot plants with dense bud top to bottom but you...

    Just pulled the trigger....

Right on. Yeah autos dont need as much light. 400w should do you just fine my dude.

    Just pulled the trigger....

400w of cobs/strips is pretty light for that size space. You'd want closer to 500w or even 600w for flower.

    New style Samsung LM561C Board

Yeah no I got what you were saying. But I think you're overestimating how small the difference in energy it is to make a photon between say 3000k and 4000k. The big difference is the 4000k since it is more blue would produce more lumens per watt than the 3000k, but as far as the actual photon...

    DIY with Quantum Boards

Oh shit. I missed that. Well in that case, 420 watts is plenty lol! 300 watts running them at 50w a board should do it too. I might do a little more than 300w for veg in a 4x4, but that's just me. Thought he was going for flower in there. In veg, 500PPFD is about the max the plants will be...

    New style Samsung LM561C Board

I think you're confused on efficiency. Higher color temps (like 4000k) are not really more efficient than lower temps (like 3000k). The only thing that increases is the lumens per watt output. But that's because higher K temps simply contain more green light, which means more lumens as lumens...

    New Setup LED Reccomendations

Haha no kidding. It would be so hard to get them lined up evenly and get them nice and flat on a surface. I've seen a few really clean builds using them though. Like this one BUT I dont know if it's just me or if the LEDs are sagging in the middle when it's hung up But damn, it would be...

COBs + ChilLED 100w PCB DIY

It's been nice now that that slinging-par guy seems to have disappeared. There's no need to have such heated bullshit debates. This hobby doesn't have a lot of solid knowledge that's backed by science, so there's always going to be disagreements over stuff. So it's better if we all butt heads...
