Teaching an old hippie new tricks...

Those are ok, but the plastic mouthpiece right on top of the very hot bowl is a bit of a design flaw IMO

    Somebody's got to try this!!

What kind of price range? I'm pretty old school myself so the first dry herb vape I tried was a pipe and lighter style, I still love it :) It's called a VaporGenie and costs about $50 new, looks like a normal wooden pipe except for a ball that sits on the bowl takes some practice, combustion...

    LST question

yea she's still top-dominant IMO a fold over just above the node above the cord would be good...

    Somebody's got to try this!!

Yea, the ceramic discs really are a big step forward. I think Divine Tribe was one of the first, now UpTech makes a popular one also. The one I use is the YoCan Evolve, it came with quartz dual coils originally but they released the ceramic disc coils in 5 packs as an upgrade :). I find them far...

    Super cropping questions

Well he wasn't saying the yield of finished product doubles, rather "thus effectively doubling, if not more (because it's additive in nature), the production and distribution of the yield increasing IAA" So to me that reads as a multiplying of the nodes, or at least the stuff that makes them...

Fox Farm VS Advanced Nutrients VS General Hydroponics

Not sure where this comes from, DG at full strength is 5ml/gal, Tiger Bloom is up to 20ml by the bottle's label...For me DynaGro is a great value because it is so concentrated...

    Sticky hands after manicure

I use gloves and keep a shotglass of ISO handy to dunk my fingertips when they get sticky, also good for rinsing the scissors...Once the ISO starts to look like it has some goodies built up I pour it through some 25micron ss mesh and evap..

Main harvest complete, this is what is left, what to do?

If she's a photo she'll keep going until you kill her or re-veg, but sounds like diminishing returns to me. Anything more than a week or two seems like it takes away from the next round too much?

Main harvest complete, this is what is left, what to do?

Yea, for sure you can let them go and they will ripen more, up to you if it's worth the wait. These days I'm too impatient so I use the lowers/popcorn for oil. They work great for coconut oil, QWISO, Rosin, QWET, etc...

    Help have fungus gnats

The stuff is very much like powdered sugar in texture, I would sprinkle it on like you would a pastry. Not inches thick, but good coverage. It's fine to water through it, though it will make a gross paste if you use a lot or water too fast lol. I use soilless media so I ph around 5.8-6.0, it is...

DIY SROG I MADE GOT ? FIRST TIME USING SCROG

Yea I'm not sure about so many plants in a scrog, for me the goal is to use 1-4 plants to stretch out and fill the screen. If it were my tent I might keep the screen higher for this run to support the colas as they swell rather than lower to flatten the canopy. Nice selection though, I'm...

    Help have fungus gnats

I went to Home Depot and grabbed some Diatomaceous Earth (about $7 for a huge bag I think) and sprinkled it over the top of the soil. It seals the eggs/hatchlings in and cuts up the adults who land.

    Kellogg Organic Potting Soil?

I used Patio Plus for my first plant, but I didn't like it much and after doing the math it seemed to me like Sunshine Mix #4 was almost the same price (4.4cu ft for $25ish) and very easy stuff to work with.

    Advice for getting into dabbing?

If you don't mind a shipping wait, look into dhgate.com. They have tons of glass for $30-40 and come complete, you just need a torch. This is a cheap, popular unit to start with at around $25usd, sold here...

So how important is light proofing

Well sure, there's some ambient junk around, but the actual light reflecting off the moon in no way affects the sleep cycle of the plant was my assertion...It isn't in a spectrum the plants are bothered by.

So how important is light proofing

Isn't moonlight a largely useless spectrum though? I've always heard it's a non-factor for that reason at least....

Feedback on this new grow setup?

Any way you can turn the light 90 degrees? If the output of the light faced the exhaust hole the run would be much straighter and flow better. I agree also about maybe sticking the filter on the intake side of the light with as little duct as possible and putting the exhaust fan between the...
