Yea a screen would be a PITA in SOG IMO (lol). The goal in SOG is a bunch of single cola plants, what would the screen do?

Just some food for thought, with CFLs you want a bulb within 4" of every leaf to get the best results. Did you say what spectrum you are working with? I've had good luck mixing spectrums with CFLs, but be warned it is about the slowest veg growth lighting there is lol.

Just the built-in controller, a dial with 1-10 settings and a hi/lo fan.

I was curious about hotrodharley's post, it seemed to say high 50's was ok, no heater needed. I'm about to enter flower and I'm sure my temps would be in that range with 12hrs lights off, was planning on using a heater myself..

I personally keep my grow between 73 and 79F at all times, but again I claim no expertise...

I think you will be fine with Critical, I think it's mostly the Cookies that are killing Barney's rep? I've certainly heard from people who loved Critical, LSD, Pineapple Chunk, etc.. I got a Critical fem and a Red Diesel fem (freebies) with my Cookies, I was holding the Crit til I have space...

Interesting, so the problem plants were all the sativa pheno? Mine came with the Barney's cardboard card, so I'm confident they are "legit", but I have to say some of the palest, puny little seeds I have seen. I was hoping to see some sexy tiger stripes for my c-note :(

I try to double up at least myself. Something like that I would flower in at least 7-10gal, what's that 30-35liters? I would think soon would be good, 2+ weeks to stretch her legs in the new pot?

Yea it's really cheap to get enough cfls to get something back. I have an orphan quarantined in my closet with 2 4bulb cfl fixtures I made and it is really impressive at <4weeks flower. I think I spend under $20 per fixture all in, but the parts are way cheaper on ebay if you have the time for...

I like using a strong exhaust fan, I want to pull the air across the material and away, rather than push air at it. Also I agree about needing some humidity for a good slow dry, I wouldn't use a dehum personally.

It's for dry herb, but you can always sneak a Trojan in if needed lol. When I had a Solo I would often sandwich a chunk of oil between layers of herb. Make a bowl last forever :)
