Help with making my diy cooltube

I was pulling through a carbon filter at the top, through my light, and then through my fan which was located just outside of the tent. It would have worked the other way as well though. I have both ends sealed as I wanted to both filter and be able to direct my hot air - its not necessary...

First attempt at a decent grow

Can always dig a hole a bit larger ;) Most likely not terribly necessary though as roots are fairly flexible. You can also mound up soil around the base - I know some people that use to grow in 3x3x3' holes and now have switched to 3x3x1.5' holes with a 1.5' mound. They claim that it helps...

First attempt at a decent grow

Oh, I'm just being lazy with them. I should be up fairly soon with some starters for the garden; you're welcome to watch me put them in the soil. I'm not too sure your rents would be all that pleased with you inviting me over, would they? I think you have a bit of time before they are ready...

    First organic tent grow.....

they might. If they don't it's no big deal as all of the new growth should be perky.

    Lumatek digital ballasts

I love my lumatek. Much better ballast than the other 4 I have used. Never had a problem, and like you say they have a great warranty and will even replace the entire device if necessary - although it's pretty rare they go down compared to other brands. OP - how did you expect them to handle...

    cfls dangerous?

Have you googled those chemicals? Phenols for instance are used in making nylon, drugs, other pharmaceuticals, detergent... So you eat it, wear it, wash with it, and use it to cure other things... sounds pretty terrible. I'll start to worry when I see concern from a legitimate source...

Kind of a null issue guys. The only reason we are able to feed the worlds population currently is chemical ferts. The amount of food the world needs to produce to feed the expanding population is estimated to double by 2050... without any increase in arable farmland... As a super green...

It's 95% mineralized. But don't you grow in coco? Bennies eat carbon as their main food source in a ratio of 50:1 carbon to nitrogen rich organic matter. Coco is pretty fucking inert... bennies can't process it... Although it's 100% carbon it's not a readily bio available form which means...

    Gastanker's 600+w Organic UV Grow

Yeah, that seems a bit easier than finding the queen. Maybe she was describing moving an established hive to me. Where she lives they have terrible problems with HUGE hives in peoples walls and she's the go to lady to take care of them if you don't want to just kill em all. Just keeping it...

What kind of disgusting shit do you consume? AKA the "What Do You Eat" thread.

Dinner prep a couple days ago - Remove from shell after a quick boil: Clean and sterilize the shells: After soaking in salt water simmer them in wine and herbs: Stuff them back into their shells with some butter, garlic, bread crumbs and cheese: And into the oven: Forgive the ugly plating.

hehe, yeah I can only imagine how nasty an organic hydro grow would get. You understand that the GO line is all immediately available right? No bennies necessary - Makes sense that it's a bit easier to dose than amending soil. And not to be a dick but you can't flush organic amendments that...

Can you OD with H2o2 (hydrogen peroxide)?

Don't use H2O2 in soil. Like stated, it will kill your bennies as well has damage your roots. Plants uptake 02 through their leaves when/if they need it. Your roots need no extra O2 and H2O2 would NOT be a good way of providing it even if they did. and don't spray it on your leaves...

:) What's the origin of the neologism "-ish", as in "I'll meet you at sevenish" or "He looked a little sheepish"? I'm curious about its etymology. Well, first, it's hardly a neologism; the suffix -ish has, in one sense or another, been in English since the beginning. But some of its senses...

In your opinion does organic hydro taste the same as chem hydro? I've never done either so I'm a bit curious but they are both 100% immediately available nutes... Neither have a ever used organic hydro nutes - curious as to if 100% immediately available organic nutes produce a product...

I agree with all of this but what point is trying to be made? If I premineralize all my organic amendments via a long aerated bacterial brew and then add them to the soil is it bad? They will all be immediately available to the plants just like the mineral nutrients... What about guanos which...
