    DonBrennons 'Unconventional' organic gardens

This has been a fascinating thread to read through. Bravo and please keep it coming. I'm glad I stumbled across this, because just the other day I also stumbled across the Unconventional Farmer's site. I'm planning to make a fermented fruit bloom fertilizer for the upcoming flowering phase of...

AACT, Bloom Tea, Veg Tea, Fungal Tea, Myco Tea, recipes from the outdoor guys.

I had a brilliant (?) idea tonight while prepping my latest brew. Rather than just weighting down the hose and bubbler with a rock like usual, I just grabbed a zip tie and attached the hose to the bag containing the worm castings. Voila! No chance of floating.

Just found a good read. It's a study on the effectiveness of aerated Vermicompost teas vs. Non-aerated. There's a copyright disclaimer about posting the article, so I'll respect that and just share the link here (Download the PDF)...

    Open Show n' Tell 2016

Figured this was a good a place to ask this question since I don't think it's worthy of its own thread. I'm growing a single plant in a container outdoors just for fun. It's a Kush of some sort but that's as specific as I got from the guy I got the clone from. I noticed today what looks to be...

    Canada grow log 2016

Thanks Shhhmokes. I know that the waning daylight hours are responsible for the flowering kick, but it's the exact timing that has me curious. I'm glad we're all on the same page as to the time. I need to move mine (in container) from where it is now to a place that gets a couple hours less...

GroErr... plants are looking great with some thick stalks. Wondering how you know that it's 2 weeks until preflower? Is that a guess or have you grown this strain before? I'm growing a Kush in Toronto and my guess was about the same - first week august. Thx

    To late to lollipop??

Thanks Resin! Only problem is that as you were writing that post, I was busy cutting away with a razor blade! After I posted that earlier I kept thinking about it and decided that a LIGHT lollipopping would be good. I didn't want to stress the plant too much but it was obvious that there were...

    God dang mushroomers

Well to be fair, GoRealUhGro said he has his plants on someone else's property so we can't really criticise these dudes for "fucking ‎around where they should not be" unless we're going to say the same about him. Sounds like you handled it really well GoRealUhGro and they don't sound like bad...

    To late to lollipop??

Thanks for starting this thread Lara. Rather than starting my own, I'll use yours if that's ok since its on topic. ‎ I've been tempted to Lollipop this little lady but so far have just been lightly pruning off some lower leaves and small stems. And since she's so dense, I don't figure the bottom...

    Canada grow log 2016

My thinking exactly. Being mobile has some big advantages. You and I will be laughing it up as our buds stay dry in the garage while the earthbound plants are getting soaked in those inevitable September rains.

    Canada grow log 2016

So far, so good! I do believe that, from a yield-maximization standpoint, an air pot or equivalent would be a better choice. Roots get oxygen‎, better drainage, and less root binding. Having said that, I see a lot of people growing in black plastic and I can't see the advantage of that over what...

    Canada grow log 2016

Here's an update from this morning. She's 32" tall a nd about about 42" at her widest. I gave her a clockwise turn of prob 5-10 degrees. I think I'll start doing this daily to balance out the light all around her. Is there a conventional wisdom when it comes to rotating container plants...

    Canada grow log 2016

Hello Rollituppers‎ First post in the forum after lurking for a while. Figured I should finally introduce myself and my little potted indica girl. I thought about posting a new thread or a grow journal but posting in this thread seemed appropriate as I'm in Toronto. A little background first...
