LED Help - Please don't hate me ;-)

I did settle on the 5 cob, 3590 but I've got till November before I need to build it. I've seen the hlg 320 is coming out in April so it could still change. Till then I'm studying everything I can find and waiting on legalization here in California. Thanks for checking in bud!

Another CXA3070 grow in coco 321...go

I need to stay pretty stealth at the moment so my cab's gotta look like something it's not lol. I had a makeshift cab out of a under sink cabinet I got at Home Depot for $80 or something but after legalization, there won't be a need to be too stealthy but just enough. My plants never got over...

After November, I'll be building out my plan for 2.5x2.5x4.5 along with a new light replacing my 400w HID. This is almost exactly what I'm looking to build. What's your height?

    HLG-320H-C3500 drivers out in april

It looks to me, and I could be wrong, that one 320-1400 would run 6, 36v cob's? s my math-ish correct?

    CXB3590 1500W

The problem was that I wanted to design a 6 cob fixture but with the drivers available, anything that I created would need to run 2 drivers to exceed the light output of the 5 cob design. That could be changing though as Mean Well and Pairui are coming out with 320w drivers. If the numbers...

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

Actually now that I think about it, do I want to connect the driver and the fans to the same dimmer? The power switch, sure, but perhaps I want to keep the dimmers separate?

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

I've looked and can't find a thread so far... Is there a thread that shows how to wire the driver and the fan power supply to the same dimmer and power switch? Is that possible? Also, has anyone used the Pairui drivers from cutter? Thanks!

    Cxb3500 build for 3x3

I appreciate the offer on loaning me the press.. Thank you that's very nice and I might take you up on that as the design I've got coming will require more drilling than I thought. I was wondering if Fry's had stuff. I was in there the other day looking for heat sink but they didn't have it...

    Cxb3500 build for 3x3

That sucks straight road f'd you over.. So after much deliberation and reading my ass off, I'm going with a 5 cob light. I worked out a plan today that looks workable. Running two, 3 cob bars would be scorching for my space. I sure like your setup though. Great work!

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

Do LED drivers get hot? Most are measured at 85c I've also seen 50c. Is that realistic?

Hi Mark, Do you have access to heat sinks as well? Namely, bulk lengths and widths? Thanks!
