I would go 6" cooltubes over hoods personally and ya may as well go for a 600w dual spectrum hps. More light, more versatile.

I would say to stick with SOG only having 4ft clearance which will be less with your lights in there. You are really gonna struggle with that height and a regular grow.

You used the words "absurdly successful" , do you think this was down to your grow setup, a rapid growing plant or the topping? An extra week in flower to get over topping is no biggie if bud developement is that significant. Have you done this on other occassions or was that just a one off?

For 4k and so not to have to fuck about swapping for bigger unit, go straight for a 21k BTU aircon, they are gonna generate alot of heat. Cool tubes will be a must in the summer months. You wil need taht heat in the winter months so get yourself a fan controller to adjust extraction rates...

10ft x 10ft room...... Not enough light if ya planning to fill the room. If ya doing a small grow in a big room, ya prob wont need a cool tube, just a small extraction fan and filter.

Don't know about you but my ext fans go off at lights out, just oscillating fans on. Un-neccessary cost in my eyes. Spend your money on a stronger fan and a fan controller, that way you have the power should you ever need it. Your choice Dougoly.

No inlet fan required, the negative pressure that is created by the extractor fan will pull air in. If the air around the tent is too warm then use a piece of ducting and suck air from coolest source you can find.

Just set up a passive intake, no need for a fan.

I have a different rig using cool tubes. filter ------> cool tube ------> cool tube ------> cool tube -------> extractor Keep your fiter up high to pull the hot air out and your air inlet down low. I also put a fan right ontop of my inlet to spread good clean air around my pots.
