IMO, 80-85 is a little high with out running co2. What is the reasoning behind led's being recommended to run 80-85? I've never heard that before. Imo you should be around 78, never above 80

Ive never use light warrior but I use FFOF with perlite. 2/3 ocean, 1/3 perlite. Why mix it with the light warrior? Straight ocean works great for me with some perlite. Its a great soil, don't have to feed in veg for the first 2-3 weeks.

In my 8k I have to go with air cooled hoods, the ceiling is 8' and I like to do 10g pots, 4-5 per light depending on strain. I felt like gavitas would have been tough to keep cool in a smaller room and you have to keep the hood 3' above the canopy so that wouldn't give me much room for the...

Yea I upgraded all my rooms to DE about year ago. I did a lot of research and to me, the ac/de are the only air cooled de hood that are worth buying. They work great too, how their set up you can take the glass off and still air cool the hood.

From what I understand, sun systems has this patented so I don't think anyone else can even do it.

What other hood besides the ac/de, doesn't pull air directly over the bulb? Because every other air cooled de hood I've seen pulls the air directly over the bulb. The grow 1, dl triple x2, phantom de pull air straight over the bulb.

I haven't seen it yet, if it were true every large scale grower would be buying led's and not every single 1000w de product on the market. On what footprint? 4x4? If so id rather get 2x as much in the same space and use a few more watts. Try convincing warehouse guys that if we switch to leds...

Besides the ac/de, all the other air cooled de hoods are useless. They are set up to pull air directly over the bulb which is not good for de setups. They say to run fans at 10% but thats a joke, theres a par test on youtube comparing them and the par levels drop considerably while air cooled...

The ac/dc is the only one you can air cool like normal, it has a separate closed space above the bulb where the air flows to cool the hood. You not suppose to directly air cool de bulbs

Nope, I just really think the de's are that much more efficient. I didn't change anything in the room besides the lights. These videos compares and shows par levels

I just run them on 1000w. Haven't tried to boost them up higher yet. Maybe this run ill run half the room on 1150 and half on 1000 to see if it makes a difference

There vegging in their final homes because my veg room was full with plants for another room and I couldn't pre veg and them put them here to flower. So they're getting an 8k veg

Could be not enough food as well, but when I flush my plants they do not get yellow like that. It may not be detrimental but imo its definitely affecting the final quality. Hard to tell with the hps lighting but this is the picture from the day I pulled them down and they are not yellow like...

Yes, the link is in my signature. I just joined the forum recently so this is my first journal. Not my first run in the room though, its the 3rd with the de's and probably the 40th if you include my old setup I had in there (raptors and 1000w hps)

The leaves are super yellow. Your suppose to get a little yellowing in flower but that is a little much. Theres definitely something going on there. The bud size looks good so what ever it is, its not affecting growth too much but they're definitely not suppose to be that yellow imo.

You definitely need an ac if your going to run a co2 burner and hid lighting. Its the only way to keep it cool, especially in the summer. I think it makes a difference once you have all other aspects of your room dialed in.

I feed 1 transition feed the week I flip to flower (50/50 veg & flower food) then I use straight flower food after that
