With respect to the OP I will just end it here, in response to them being sued candy companies don't intend for you to melt their product nor do they intend for them to melt. The idea is to eat them quickly before they melt. I am not knocking your method at all, if it works for you it works...

I know. Molded candy as in candy that has already been shaped by the use of a mold to pour the liquid into and cool into it's desired shape. Not that you were using moldy candy and melting it down. Sorry about how that was worded.
