    Sure To Grow Loose Fill?

i use neither. for the longest time, i have used recycled tire mulch as media. it is 9 bucks a .7 cf bag. It is fully reuasble and leaves no residue. Plant love it. Does not wick tho. So I only use it hold plants in dwc netcups or one gallon buckets to flood. I read somewhere the best medium...

    my ebb & flow system

cool but I would replave that reservoir stat with a black and yellow 27 gallon tuff box from lowes for 13 buks. It holds 400 pounds without leaks and no light for algae. I would also try and get a 2x3 cement tray from lowes as it is black and that is cool. Lol, but other wise nice.

PH Problems Can't Keep Levels Low

your lucky it is 6.3. I was using gh three part with the hardwater micro and tapwater but the ph would rise to 7! everyday. I switched to regular micro because I saw the calcium level of my city water supply was not technically "hard". Now I never have any ph probs at all. I use the lucas...

PH Problems Can't Keep Levels Low

Yu are using tapwater I bet. Tapwater contains magic things that make it stay about 7-8. Your nutes are not right for tapwater. If you try ro water and cal mag then you can find some balance. A lot of people like to work with various ph levels. A day or two is not bad. Try more nutes till you...

    Recommended GPM/LPM for air pump?

i am just using 6 inch ones from fish stores. I tried small ones and limewood models and discs. The six inch in case quantity or whatever you can grab, i clean out the shelf for 15 bucks works best. They get dirty fast and clogged. Also for the 35 watt I noticed that one big air stone or two...

Somethings just not right! Need Recs!!

well for starters no three part is meant to be used 1-1-1. They must have a three part feed schedule somewhere. I hear the lucas works with AN. Try 8 ml micro and 16 ml bloom per gallon.

77 degree water. No root rot.

all good adivice. I posted because I am always a little nervouse. I am trying to battle 100 degrees here with a room ac and a semi house ac model. I keep it down to 70 or so and I try to keep the airpumps near the ac! That helps. In winter I will have natural temps of lower than 50 or so. I...

    Recommended GPM/LPM for air pump?

i use one watt a gallon for my pumps. I am happy with them. I have a 20 watt and a 35 watt. I buy the metal comercial ones on eBay for 50 bucks or so. I bought the 35 watt one cheap from a chinese place instead of a hydro shop for 10 dollars more and I would not do that again as it gets pretty...
