Yes definitely use flat white. I would think paint would be a better surface than posters. With all the moisture if might be a recipe for growing mold in-between the poster and the wall. The poster will absorb moisture as well

Imo a coffee filter is going to stop a lot of the good stuff from coming through. They work fine for butane if your winterizing and don't have a lab filter but with bubble, a lot of your heads will get caught in it
