Seeking advice on a late season garden (Northern CA)

Moving along! I moved my 3 Venom OG and 3 Purple GAS MAC (what a dumb name…) out to their final 15 gallon homes in the back yard. They won’t be monsters, but I have high hopes. ;) I pounded some T posts, and I’ll be adding some ropes, guy wires, greenhouse plastic, etc, for a simple makeshift...

    Getting close to harvest?

It’s totally normal for the fan leaves to fade/yellow as you near harvest. If they fade too early it can result in a smaller yield - gotta find that sweet spot. It looks like you’re getting closer - notice how the calyxes have started to swell up? That’s a good sign that harvest time is coming...

Brainstorming ideas for a small greenhouse…

Thanks, guys. I stumbled across the idea of DIY using EMT conduit, and I’m sold. Just gotta buy a bender for ~$45 and get to it.

Brainstorming ideas for a small greenhouse…

What’s up, everyone? I’m brainstorming ideas for a small greenhouse - say, 8x15 feet or so. I’m not going for mass production here, just some quality organic herbs for me and my family. Either 5-10 small plants or a few big ones, dependi I want something that is… 1) Relatively easy to set up...

Seeking advice on a late season garden (Northern CA)

I hit them with some Green Cure for the powdery mildew and a 1-2-3 punch of alcohol, insecticidal soap, and organocide (a few days apart). All is well. No more signs of PM or mites, but I’ll follow up with routine spraying for prevention - all organic, of course. The intensive spraying early on...

Hey! Bonus spider mites from the club! Haha! Hit them with some insecticidal soap - hopefully caught it early enough to wipe them out.

Doh… One of my clones is already showing PM just a day after bringing it home from the dispensary. Fun times.

Seeking advice on a late season garden (Northern CA)

Right on. I’m going to pick up a half dozen clones this evening. They’ve got Venom OG, Purple Gas Mac, and Ice Cream Cake available. Thinking I’ll go with two of each for some variety. This run is just for fun - whatever I get from it will be a bonus. :)

Seeking advice on a late season garden (Northern CA)

Thanks, DrOg. Good to know! How big are your clones when you put them out this late, and how bigdo they tend to get by harvest time? I’m not looking for quantity - quality is what matters to me…

Seeking advice on a late season garden (Northern CA)

Well, I guess I’m just gonna give it a shot. Plan is to get started with some clones indoors under my T5, then start moving them outdoors for some supplemental sun as they get a little stronger. When they get to 1 foot or so with a bit of branching, I’ll move them outside to flower.

Seeking advice on a late season garden (Northern CA)

Assuming I can’t find any “teen” sized clones within the next week or two, I’m seeing two options: - Veg clones indoors under a T5 (24 hr) for a couple/few weeks, then bring outside to harden off and begin flowering. -Start the clones outdoors right off the bat (in shade at first, of course)...

Seeking advice on a late season garden (Northern CA)

Hey, everyone. I’m relatively experienced with small-scale indoor, but recently moved and don’t have a grow space set up yet so that’s not an option at the moment. I’m thinking I’d like to buy ~6 clones (or teens, if I can find some) and put them outdoors within the next couple/few weeks. I’ll...

Experience with newest Sun Hut or Secret Jardin tents?

Anyone else tried the newest "2.5" version of the Secret Jardin Dark Room? Anyone tried the Secret Jardin ORCA?

Experience with newest Sun Hut or Secret Jardin tents?

Thanks for the reply. I've heard a lot of good things about the Secret Jardin line of tents. As for ventilation, cooling, etc, I've got that pretty well dialed. I've got plenty of equipment left over from past projects, just need the tent. I'll be running a 600 watt light in an air cooled hood...

Experience with newest Sun Hut or Secret Jardin tents?

What's up, guys? I'm looking to get a garden going after nearly a 1 year hiatus while I purchased a home. All my past experience has been in custom made cabinets (everything from CFLs to single 400W to dual 600W). With all the other home projects on my plate right now, I just don't have time to...

Any experience with Sun Hut "Blackout" grow tents?

Whats up, guys? I've been MIA from the growing scene for a little over a year now, and its time to set up a new garden. Thing is, I just haven't got the time to build a custom cabinet like I've used in the past (search my name for some previous journals if you're curious... who knows if the...
