    50 Watts of LED?

I really have to disagree. I'm not a led hater check my posts and journal in my sig. I'm using new model 14 spec 3wchipset cree diodes they are top of the line. If I were to draw a comparision between one of the 180w panels I'm using, based on my experience with HID lighting it is roughly...

Autoflower Pot Size, Light Distance From Top = Bigger Size and more Bud?

Sixteen - I'm not disagreeing there but as I can only grow four plants at a time without crossing into felony territory for my garden I'm going for max producion on each plant. While it may only be a smaller increase in final yield since I can only have the four at a time ...

steer me in the right direction

Yeah I think so, 20w and the 260 is going to have way more flowering diodes than the 180. The 180 is a 50/50 split between veg and flower sets. The 260 (I'm basing this off the 2010 model PG 250 that I own) has about a 3 to 1 ration flower to bloom. Find user blazedmonkey - he just bought a...

Autoflower Pot Size, Light Distance From Top = Bigger Size and more Bud?

I hate to hate on your pot selection but the plastics are not the best way to go. Air pots will give you better results and with two gallons you'll sacrifice some yield. You'll want at least four gal to max them out.

    50 Watts of LED?

That needs clarification. I've grown with led and if your talking about 30w of random led being equal to 450w that is totally absurd. To replace HID you'll need at least half maybe a little more than half of the total HID wattage in LED output (not chipset capacity!). It should also be a 3w...

Why is 24/0 Light not a Good Idea for Autos??

I'm almost 100% sure that is a GYO. LED wholesalers is a reseller for Chinese grow gear. I'd be careful if my buddy had not caught it shortly after it shorted out it could have easily caused a really bad fire. It was broiling hot to the touch. edit - I checked their site it most def is a GYO...

so i need help cleaning my pipe...

He beat me to the punch. That's what I usually do but watch out when changing the temperature of hte glass as this could cause it to break. Formula 420 also works well but there really is no need to spend money on that when you can us rubbing alcohol and kosher salt. That's what I do.

Why is 24/0 Light not a Good Idea for Autos??

fair enough, I've just had ballasts (cheap e-ballasts) blow up doing that. My buddy had a 400w GYO digital MH/HPS and it was done after less than 6 months on the 24-0 cycle.

Why is 24/0 Light not a Good Idea for Autos??

I run mine 23.5 on .5 off. Have found they finish quicker this way. Pulling on avg well over 1.5 oz per plant in 5 gal air pots under an overkill amount of leds. If you're growing with HID I would never rec having your lights on 24 hours a day that IMO is a fire hazard. When I ran HID I kept...

Favorite Auto Strains Thread .. .

Picking a favorite is difficult so I'll roll off my top five Auto-Assasin (Short Stuff) - super heady nuggets, good yielder, sativa dom (which is to my liking). As the advert says "boom you've been assassinated" Smurfberry (Sagmantha) - I don't know what smurfs are supposed to taste like but...

steer me in the right direction

you won't be dissapointed man. I have grown with several different brands and there is a reason I'm using pretty much all hydro hut lights (except the 50w bs side light). Haven't tried Advanced but have heard solid things, just too much $$ for me and I already have everything I need for my...

Help setting up a 90 watt LED UFO in a 630 sf APT bldg

If you're only working with one autoflower plant check out the Pro-Grow 90 from Hydroponics Hut or the Blackstar 135w ufo. That's really all you'll need for one plant. You won't even need the cfl sides. As far as the heat is concerned - way less heat than a cfl.

steer me in the right direction

pro-source and the pro-grow series def aren't the same. I agree with beefbisquit. While I only have a blackstar 50w that I use for side lighting I do have a friend with a blackstar 500. For my money and garden the prow-grows throw down harder. I've had a GLH spectra in the past too, but it...

Help setting up a 90 watt LED UFO in a 630 sf APT bldg

caesar is correct autos don't like the nutes as much as photos. Well some do but they are few and far between. I've found a good rule of thumb with autos is to start out with 1/2 the normal dose of flower nutes (don't bother with veg nutes beyond microbacteria which should be used all the way...

    Auto vs. Photop.

Thanks man, like Jogro said above they may not be the most efficient way to grow but they have other qualities that make them very desirable for small time growers. If you do it right you can easily grow a gram a day per plant.

Whats the best Light Cycle for Autos????

I'm running all led now. When I did HPS/CFL I kept it at 20-4. Now I keep it 23.5-/0.5 this is the quickest way I've found to crank them out

Autoflower Pot Size, Light Distance From Top = Bigger Size and more Bud?

you can pull 2 oz off autos in 5 gal pots. I've done this several times. 1.25-1.5 is about average, sometimes I've pulled more than 2 on a really solid pheno. Distance from the light is going to depend entirely on the lighting source you've chosen.

I need ideas for odor control

massah is more or less right but Ona Gel and strongly scented candles (cinnamon, anything heavy) placed on a candle warmer will also be friendly. Candle warmers are very inexpensive.
