i would say go buy some clamp lights from wall mart, (http://www.walmart.com/ip/Bayco-8.5-Clamp-Light/14003467) and a pack of warm 23w=100w CFLs, wouldnt cost more than 40$ and will make it much brighter, but the truth is HPS is where its at, just have to deal with the heat that comes with it...
