I have actually used the alcohol method myself with no ill effects to the plants. Works pretty good but it doesn't kill the eggs so you have to spray every other day for a week and a half or so or until you have eliminated the problem.

The house hasn't been lived in for some time. The guy we are getting it from bought it to fix and flip. I'm guessing whoever origanally installed it took the cops attention with him when he left. But no doubt I will be taking every precaution possible. Hell we do that anyway right.

And I must say I was really pleased. The kitchen was a little small but the rest is perfect. Nice open living room, huge full basement pefrect for a game/gun room. The 1/2 acre backyard is perfect for the dogs and kids and all the gardening we enjoy during the summer months. Idk what we would do...
