Being the outdoor growing capital of the States (BC folks would argue if I said world) I think that you are safe with any strain except some pure land race sativa that needs 16 weeks of flower or something. Even then, you probably could do there.

Epcot in Orlando has a huge hydro farm all planted in sand. But they are shot water every few hours according to the tour lady. I bet us growers like that part of the tour more than any one!
