Recommended wattage for my grow cab.

So i had a question for yas... I have a grow cab that is 1.5' deep, 3' wide, and 6' tall. It has a sq footage of 4.5 sq ft, and at 50watts per foot, that comes to about 225watts. Im getting a Lumatek dimmable 400w ballast in a while, which can do either 250w, or 400w. Do you think it would be...

Humboldt Nutrient Organic line - Incomplete? Lacking?

Humboldt's organic line is good...But it seems like they have way too many products that do alot of the same things. For instance "Pro-Zyme, Mayan Micro-Zyme, Myco-Madness, Myco-Maximum" And yeah...it can be confusing on what to buy...and trying to discern which is the most necessary...Or else...

    which molasses to use...

Yea! Blackstrap FTW! If you're adding it to alot of water, it can be difficult to dissolve completely, especially cold water. A little trick is to mix the molasses with some warm water, shake that up (dissolves almost instantly) and then add a little cold water to that to make it room temp...

Looking for tent advice in regards to lights, hoods, and fans.

I dont see any problems with your setup, or inline fans. You could go with a cooltube, but theyre kinda tricky. I'd recommend a nice sealed hood with vents and sealed glass. Check out Sun Sytems' Super Sun Reflector kit. Around $100, and will give you good light coverage. This kid above me...

bubble pack insulation vs white paint

Well...alot of ppl use these numbers: Mylar 90-95% reflective Flat White Paint 85-90% reflective Im not sure about the bubble stuff, as its' crinkly-ness could reduce that. I use 1mil mylar...Got a 25' roll for $20. Its decent stuff.

How Many Plant Can I Fit !??

OOh man...thats a bit small...I wouldve gotten the GL60, its alot bigger for only like 20-30$ extra. Anyways...that tent is good, but it has hieght problems...Even if you LST(low stress train) your plants...the lights and fans and shit are gonna take alot of space up top and such...

    +rep for price info

Umm it depends....My hydro shop is alot cheaper than Online, cause i get like a 10-15% discount on everything...You just gotta talk to the manager and ask about discounts for certain amounts of products bought. Yes, i would buy things from a shop using only cash. You can never be too careful...

    Venting?

During this season in a two car garage? Nope. I wouldnt vent the lights, unless their housing gets really hot for some reason, but if youve got em running a cool garage (60-70f) then they should be fine. If you're gonna enclose the plants (which would multiply your reflectivity) youll need...

    anyone know what this is

Are you using the Tiger bloom in full strength? Ive heard of people who use the tiger bloom in full strength, and they say they experience leaf curling and brown spots right when they started to use it. If you are using it...maybe dilute it to 1/2 or 1/4 strength and see if that helps...and...

    Clones not lookin so hot...

Hmm...if you're using those "Jiffy Peat Pellets/Pucks" you might want to switch to "Rapid Rooter" plugs...Ive used those peat pellets, and theyre really compact and hard for roots to push through them... The rapid rooters are pretty spongey and hold moisture well... Alot of people use Clonex...

    what you think about this

Yea...Rule of thumb = 50 watts per sq ft. Your 91sq ft would need 4550 watts, so 4 1k HPS's would do it. 400/oz? If thats a price per ounce of cannabis...that seems overpriced. I can get chronic for 250/oz. Why would you sell your weed anyways?

    Light Baffle Design

You can make a simple light baffle with some cardboard and foam... Or use some dryer vent hosing...have it curve around at about a 180d angle and maybe point it down/away from your lights...Worked for me. Just be sure to put some screen/hepa fabric in it so no dust/bugs can get in.

why is it smelling so bad??

Looks like you are scrubbing the air before it goes into the cooltube and ducting. This is sort of bad, cause any small little leaks or gaps in either the cooltube, or the ducting will allow un-scrubbed air to be exhausted out. You'll want to figure out a way to make sure that every single...

    Stealth window venting

Alright guys...i happen to have THE solution for this. Watch this video http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3522676950230105924# The guy makes this box enclosure for the window. He cracks the window open a bit, then puts blinds over it. Then he makes a vent box. Its a rectangular box...

    Good Set UP????

Rather than making fun of your grow and laughing...Im gonna give you advice. Get a decent light setup, FLuros, CFLs, T5's. Get an enclosed space with white, or reflective mylar walls...Hell even a large cardboard box with some mylar in it will reflect more light than that setup you have...

In the market for a Digital Ballast

Lumatek ballasts are good...But careful which bulb you use... I have heard/read that the 600w ballasts used with a Hortilux bulb can be problematic. But, whatever...Id go with Lumatek... Its good to get a good reliable ballast in the first place.
