Well I don't really have anything in the photos to compare them to, and there are still some leaves to be trimmed so that's why I guessed that. I'm probably wrong, but I have to stick by it now.
That's awesome that you're doing it. I think alot of people including myself would like to know. Try and watch the "heads" of the trichs to see if they fall off, or if the trichs themselves shrink at all. I've heard that happens too so I'd like to know if you can.
I could be too....I don't know any of this from experience, I'm just going on what I read. I definitely don't have the time or the capabilities to watch trichomes that closely, but I assume Jorge Cervantes and the people he deals with to write his books and articles do. As far as it happening...
No that's not what I'm saying at all. I'm saying that it turns amber, stays amber, and then after a few days of being in the elements (light, heat, ect.), it starts to deteriorate. Why do you think everyone says not to dry and cure in the light?
Oh okay. Yeah you're right then. I usually don't even start checking the trichs until the pistils are about 50% orange. That's usually what I do too (with the colas). I think I'm going to try lollipopping a couple and see if the weight increase in the colas are enough to continue doing it.
I agree with you. I wasn't saying to harvest early, I was simply stating that I flower before the other person suggested. I said that I usually harvest when trichs are mostly cloudy with about 25% of the being amber. I think it's a better all around high than just couchlock or more of a...
Look at the third paragraph of the Harvesting and Drying in this link - http://www.alternatesmoke.com/grow/index21.html OR #8 in the 4th post - https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/43728-what-must-you-do-end.html
I can find more if you'd like....
Hey shefsmoke, as I said to toker earlier in the thread. You should take a look at the grow guide written by the guy who created Lowryder. It's got alot of great information in it, and I'd say that most of what is in there would be pretty much the same for auto ak's. The link is...
You get better yields but with autoflowering varieties you have 2 week olds with 4 week olds with ones that are almost ready. That's what I like about the autoflowering strains....You don't need to change the light cycle.
Yes there is a too long. I've read that when you let it get that far the thc actually starts to go down due to degradation. I personally wouldn't wait for 60-75% amber, I think that's too far. I usually harvest when there are a few clear, mostly cloudy, and about 25% amber. Are you flushing...
Good to see you're still going. Pics soon? I think about Cali sometimes too...especially during the winter here in Chicago. Hey, are you planning on pollinating or are you just going to keep ordering seeds?
