By chance were you looking at my AK pics or M.J.'s and Y.M's? Is 1" tall seedlings really okay after 9 days from seed?

Good news! My 150 HPS is being shipped today UPS... Sadly though, I may be out of town a day or two when it comes, hope my girls can hold on the CFLs a bit longer. What's the rule of thumb for mixing HPS and CFLs? Using both at once?

M.J.... is that from the lighting set up you mentioned? Those are BEAUTS!! I hope mine are 1/3 that good...

I just rearranged the lights a bit. I have 2 42s in the center and 4 23s on the sides, gives it a little more juice I guess. No hood, thought I'd wait for the HPS so I know what to get... how cheap is one or is there a do-it-yourself hood?

Thanks for the advice! I do have a couple 23 watts around, but I wasnt sure if i should since the light would be a little dispersed uneven (2 42s on one side and 1 42 and 1 or 2 23s on the other??) And yeap, I got the lights about 2 inches or so, maybe less. For nutes I just followed the back...

Day 9: I thought these "girls" were getting of to a great start, now I'm not so sure... Lara and Fox are the tallest at 1" and Lara also has her yellow spots from the nutes the other day. I am giving them now just pure filtered water. They are only on THREE 42watt CFLs now (one broke yesterday)...

So far, around $100, but I haven't gotten the pump and airstone for the DWC, my HPS is on its way, have to get emergency blankets for the walls, still a good bit I need all together.

What light are you using? And how old are these little guys?

Day 8: Lara is also getting a small yellow spot on her leaf. I did start using the flora series with the seedling mixture (on the bottle)... did I use nutes too soon I wonder...

I think the biggest advantage of hydro (especially DWC) versus bio is that hydro takes all the guess work out of watering... to wet? to dry? water schedules etc...

Looking great, how far along are you from seed??

Not sure about watts but I know for lumens you'd want around 3000-5000/plant

I just (tried to) post my first thread in the newbie section.. the 1st log in my first grow... when I submitted it said it needs to await approval... is this normal?? How long does that take??
