Sad's Perpetual Growhouse: Indicas, Stativas & A Bunch of Madness!!!

Oops, I said I had the same brand of tent, but apparently Summit Grow Labs is not GrowLab! Apologies, I don't want to give a review of something based on something entirely different!

Sad's Perpetual Growhouse: Indicas, Stativas & A Bunch of Madness!!!

Yeah, the off sizes of the GrowLab tents is what brought them to my attention as well. I have two 31"x31"71" GL tents that I've been running for a couple of years. I like them, but there are some pinholes, and a couple of the zippers are getting stuck now (that may just be due to the fact that...

So how do I know if I'm over defoliating ... Can defoliating cause hermaphroditism

I know some peeps swear by defo for higher yields, but I can also appreciate the opposing viewpoint that you're just unnecessarily removing the plant's solar panels. I do a fair bit myself, but in my case it's always for the increased airflow - that comes with growing in a moldy basement though...

    lights, camera, procrastination.

Well shut my mouth, I just checked the trichomes on the Blue Dream and it's looking nearly done. Buds are looking pretty mature as well; figured she was just happier and healthier, and maybe that's the thing. Shouldn't be more than a week until chop. If it runs the same on the next round, I'll...

GN Telos 6, 8 or 10 or Sanlight led q6w

I am definitely intrigued by autos, and I totally understand why you've chosen them for you particular situation. And by all accounts (from up-to-speed auto growers) the genetics have improved so greatly that a good auto is no longer a compromise on yield and potency. Personally, the two things...

Yeah, she's great. Almost 20 years together, and we aren't sick of each other yet, so that's good! Still growing my prized pheno of HSO's Black D.O.G., which I hope to never lose. Appears to be an uncommon pheno for this strain, as most are very Blackberry-heavy, but mine is a gassy, earthy...

Life kind of went sideways on me with some family/personal stuff. Stopped giving a shit, to be honest. Almost gave up the garden and nearly lost my genetics to boot. But the wife insisted I get back on the horse and pushed me into flowering some pretty sad-looking plants, which are actually...

Damn, it's been a long time since I last posted... Looking great as always, Brother Lukio. Happy to see you're still rocking it. Looks like a lot of the old peeps are off the forum now, but at least we've still got your tasty pics to enjoy.

Switch to LED , What problems do you hade/have

The fact that you listed two different wattages for your LED makes me think you're using blurple, yes? (Based on the old marketing gimmick of listing the potential wattage of the diodes rather than the actual wattage being drawn.) Massive difference between the flowering ability of those cheap...

Any news on the New Samsung strips?

Glad to see so many companies releasing red-enhanced strips. The community has been wanting this for quite a while. I look forward to someone doing a comparison of Atreum's, HLG's, and PLC's. Personally, I think Atreum has a shot at the title, popularity-wise - $1/watt, already heatsinked and...

Any news on the New Samsung strips?

Nice. Yeah, I'd be interested in anything from 3k through 4k, with the added 660. Now if we could get a little 630 tossed in the mix...

    What HLG should I get

I would opt for the two 320s. More boards means more coverage, and at a wattage equivalent to one of your other options, more efficiency as well. You would also gain the advantage of more adjustability where height and placement are concerned.

Help with Chart/spreadsheet of LED efficiencies etc

For what it's worth, the Migro guy has said on IG that he considers HLG QB288s to be the best product on the DIY market. As for the plexi: I've seen his test that shows acrylic covers reducing PAR by 2%, but he does test both with and without.

    QB96 Elite V2 w/ SSTX heatsink question

Turn the QBs down. At 45w per square foot, you're well over the average that most here use for flowering (30-40 w/sq ft). Some have success at those higher light levels, but if you're having problems with heat, don't be worried about maxing the photons - you'll get great results, regardless...

    DIY with Quantum Boards

Old-school netspeak - "someone who isn't me". Meant to avoid liability, should posts on message boards/forums ever be used as evidence. Though I haven't seen anyone but @jjng5 use it in a LONG time. Used to be quite common on sites like erowid and bluelight (might still be, but I haven't...

Agreed. These new horti strips don't seem all that great for the indoor cannabis market.

    UV Results from the community.

The issue under discussion isn't whether you own them, or whether you should use them, or even if I'm too "lazy" to search out a datasheet for a bulb that isn't remotely related to the conversation. The question is: what are the facts regarding the amount of UV-B in a Phillips 4200k CMH? You...
