Is there anyway to know if your res is getting algae buildup before seeing it?Ive been keeping it cool 67-70 degrees but sometimes goes to 73-75 before I add ice and frozen water bottles.Im just wondering what guys use to know if theyve got funk in there res?

Sounds like your on the right track,personally Id stay away from miracle grow but some people can make it work.Ive used fox farm with good results.I started with miracle grow but suffered some burns.once you get growing good keep an eye on the ph.So you dont get any lockout going on.Even in soil...

Another way Ive heard of sexing a plant is to cover one branch with a paper bag(preferably black on outside) for 12 hrs a day.And only that branch will show sex after a couple weeks.it doesnt disrupt the rest of the plant.then when you see its female.flower it.Male toss it!:peace:

yOU NEED A GOOD STRAIN TO WORK WITH TOO.WE GOT LUCKY.BUT YOU CAN GET GOOD RESULTS WITH THEM.YOU CAN KEEP THEM CLOSE TO THE PLANT TOO.

Thanks ste, I started with no dome but they werent very happy about that.Ive got em domed up,spraying with ph'd water a few times a day.there looking better but I'm fighting heat in res. today I added ph'd ice cubes and frozen water bottles.we'll see how that does.thanks for the help man:weed:

2" neoprene plugs. net pots and plugs are cheap 2.you can get them on ebay or online hydro store.variety of sizes.if your using medium you may want bigger,3"-5" net pots.And also with rockwool and medium,you dont need the plugs then.they are for holding the stem when you dont use medium.
