First time, 4x4 led grow, don’t know what led to choose

Against the recommendation of so many experienced LED growers here? Why?

    COB high bay LED fixture

Remove the glass. No need. And while 117 lm/w isn't the best, adding this to your grow can only benefit you, so I agree with everyone else - do it up!

    From DEs to LEDs

Beautiful work, brother! I wish the HID-faithful who pop up in other threads to talk about how small LED buds are would find there way to this thread.

    COB high bay LED fixture

It definitely looks like a high build-quality and it's a pretty cool form-factor, but at 117 lm/w I wouldn't use it for growing. I wonder if you could fit the new ChilLED boards in place of the stock panels? Hmm...

First time, 4x4 led grow, don’t know what led to choose

The Optic 8 looks like a solid option as long as you're not paying more for it than you would for the HLG-600. As @Viceman666 said, the Optic 6 appears to be outdated, so personally, I'd take that out of consideration. And I would definitely not spend any money on Kind or Advanced - they're...

First time, 4x4 led grow, don’t know what led to choose

No need to have a dedicated veg light in a higher CCT. Quantum Boards and COBs veg amazingly well at 3000k or 3500k. Plenty of blue light in the spectrum. Take some time to look around here on the forum - you'll see most of us veg and flower under the same spectrum. The old "blue light for veg...

LED CRI suggestions for veg flower, or does it matter?

Meanwell makes a few different series, some much cheaper than others. Take a look at the LRS series if the HLG models are too expensive for him.

LED CRI suggestions for veg flower, or does it matter?

You'll probably get a few different answers to the question of how many watts you need to replace a 1,000w HPS, but personally, I'd shoot for around 600w.

    COB high bay LED fixture

If you can get the make/model, maybe someone here can give you an idea of whether or not it's worth using. Certainly appears to be a quality unit, though.

First time, 4x4 led grow, don’t know what led to choose

I imagine you're asking only about pre-built fixtures, correct? If I were setting up a 4x4, and I were choosing a pre-built, there's no question: HLG-600. Cheaper than the 550, and a little more headroom (for those especially robust strains that can take a LOT of light). However, if I were...

First time, 4x4 led grow, don’t know what led to choose

Well the HLG-600 is basically a kit light, but growerslights.com will put it together for you (for a small fee), so that's part of it. Also, if I recall correctly (and I may have this bit wrong - @Stephenj37826 could set me straight if I'm off base here), the HLG-550 has some certification(s?)...

First time, 4x4 led grow, don’t know what led to choose

For pre-built fixtures it doesn't really get better than an HLG light. Two 260 watt units or a single HLG-600 (pre-built from growerslights.com) is about as good a price-to-performance bargain as you can find. For DIY'ers, you can't really beat the Samsung strips that others have mentioned here...

Better than all of the brands you mentioned. By such a large margin that it makes those lights seem like toys. Check out the HLG-600 at growerslights.com - you can buy it pre-assembled if you're not comfortable with DIY. That will be all your 4x4 ever needs.

First time, 4x4 led grow, don’t know what led to choose

The HLG-300 would be a very good start, yes. Add a second when you can afford it and your 4x4 will be ready to rock for years to come.

What's your budget? The brands you've listed really aren't worth spending money on, but we can certainly try to help you find something worthy.

What's your budget? Viparspectra really isn't a good investment.

    DIY with Quantum Boards

I'm going to assume that was a typo. Because you just said you pulled 3,500 ounces wet and 35 ounces dry from a 2x2.

    4x8 tent dyi cob build

Many do, yes; though I'd say 3000k is just as popular. I have both (QBs) myself, and in my experience, they perform comparably.
