Well I plan to switch over to ebb&grow system very soon. I ordered a Monster control bucket (5 gallons). Has anyone had success making their own buckets? Or do you know of a site where i can order only the bottom buckets for the system? This thread is very long and don't have time to read...

food? ppm? do you have an airstone in the res? Do you use r/o water?

I am also switching from aero to dwc/ebb. With much thought i figure seems best to go straight into hydron clay pellets. But I think I will start clones in rapid rooters instead of my cloner.

Why do you want to clean it?? do you see mold?? why can't you just pick the top up, what are the roots wrapped on?? they are pretty strong normally and withstand some gentle pulling (be careful!). I think I would just flush the system with fresh clean water if I thought I really needed to.

Bought mine at Lowes on sale, its a 3 stage unit. Think it was ~99. Makes 5ppm or under water slowly ;)

there are a ton of ways to feed your plants from easy measure and more to complex mixtures. I use advanced sensi grow/bloom with a few adv additives they offer mixed in. The main thing is to keep those ppm right! You can nuke your plants quick in hydro if you run them too high. Find a food...

ya this really depends, most of the time its hard to not use up/down. I use advanced nutes in hydro with clay pebbles and dont adj my ph at all.

I also plan to go from rapid rooter to 5-6" pots in a flood table for veg. Then into 5 gallon bucket DWC/ebb for flower.

wont hurt to leave stones on other than straining the pump more. How often to flood and drain is up to you. The whole purpose of draining is to supply oxygen to the roots so if you are using air stones in each plant u could leave flooded 24/7. Like the person above said since you have air...

from my experience a 32oz jar will hold 1oz of dry buds with room left to spare. You could prob put more like 1.25ozs in one if ya wanted.
