Picked it up at the hydro store. I was wondering if the lime would leach out eventually, or if for example it became necessary to flush. I'm not one of those who flush plants unless I'm pretty sure it's going to die if I don't. I don't flush pre harvest either.

The lime I am using is a very very fine powder, it's like baby powder.

I grow in potting soil and add dolomite lime to regulate Ph. When a plant is harvested I put the clumps through some chicken wire and the soil back into the soil bins. My question is, do I have to, or should I add lime each time I finish a pot?

Thanks. I've been tracking this problem for a while now. I had it once on a plant really bad and never got the answer. Recently the humidity around here has been in the teens to low 30's and the leaves did the same thing. When I misted them, it would stop for a while.

Not so fast grasshopper. You're certainly on the right track here, but if he's at 80*F and 12" from floros, even if they were CFL they wouldnt even be too hot, much less burning them. OP, what's your humidity? I'd bet it's been on the low side of things lately.

Yes you can. Heat and cool cycles are what wear out almost everything, leaving them on IMO, makes them last longer.

I'm thinking that running anything over ots capacity is going to cost you in the end. I loled @ my 1,000 watt Super Lumens switch, no way I'm doing that to my bulbs and ballasts. I have heard people complaining about Lumiteks going bad, I think I have a good idea why that is.

That's why you know that I have so much money? My heat/electric alone is over half of my income.

your T-5 is only good for a few inches, get the plants situated, then add it wherever you need.
