Wrong. Radiant heat will cause the res to heat above ambient temp. This is further expressed if the res is a dark color and somewhat combated by using a white res.

Yeah, thats gonna be tight as a virgins honeypot. If the plants touch the bulbs for extended periods of time, it will damage them. What will you do if they grow to fast? Maybe you should consider using singles and mount them in the corners.

I say lack of oxygen. Water will hold more dissolved o2 at lower temps, so if you're res is too warm, even though you're bubbling, you can still be depriving them of o2. How's the roots look? Brown & slimy or white & hairy?

That's not going to turn it into a cooling tstat. You could use a normally closed relay, but that'd be a pain in the ass.

Your hood has 6" flanges? Hook a reducer to the 5" fan and run 6" softline so that the fan pulls the air from the cab, through the hood and out of the box.

There is definitely a big difference in heat between the 400 and 600. Not just heating the air, but also radiant heat. It will heat up surfaces around it quickly. That said, there is also a HUGE difference in output. A good 400w HPS will kick about 45000 lumens, a good 600, about 90000 lumens...

I use RO + 5ml/gal for clones and 10ml/gal for established plants. I believe this is very strain specific. Also, if I don't keep my ph at 5.8, they will still show deficiencies.

I think most of that shit is epoxy based and pretty inert once cured.

Neoprene disks? Those are for holding cuttings in a cloner, usually. I think I'd just put them in the dirt.

Yeah, filters really help quite it down, but I've got a 8" cheap ass valuline cooling 2 isolated 600w hoods, no filter there. That motherfucker really makes some noise.

It may slow down/stop flowering for a little while. It's hard to say, but I probably wouldn't sweat it.

Have you considered spidering the ducting (1 line per hood and then teeing into the fan)? If you run hoods in series, the heat continually builds and renders the cooling ineffective.

It's minimal, but having uninsulated ducting before your hood will help draw off some of the heat from the room. I know it helped on one of my boxes. Having the insulation after the hood is definitely smart to keep that heat from being transferred to the room. But shit, if you're not having temp...
