i just germ mine in the coco pellets in a cup with a little plastic dome on it.. Most all have sprouted within 3 days. Havent had any problems that way. and i dont have to worry about messing the taproot up or risk it growing to long before dirting it./

Yea height is a concern. I have several diff strains going and one box. the sativas are bag seed. im gonna do the perpetual grow thing, and i only have one box. I would veg longer but with a few already going and one box itll be awhile before i have that option.. that and i wanna burn sumin...
