3rd time is not a charm. Yellowing of new growth. K problem?

Looks like a true 300w light. II'm not an led expert...but it should do the job. Someone suggested varying distance rather then dimming. Calculate your watts per square foot...should be around 30 for leds. JD

    Single seed center

I've dealt with the actual Single Seed Center. They screwed up my order...but made it right. Sent me the correct seeds. Didn't know there was a spoof site out there. Email help desk and see what they say. Maybe you are just being impatient. JD

I'm giving growing a second chance

Ba, I don't think it's such a good idea to do what you're saying. There's a potential for a big family hassle. Find a buddy who grows and pay him for space. And in a small cabinet grow...you don't need any actual outdoor air. Just air exchange with your living space. But exhaust may be an...

I need help setting up my first hydro system

I don't weigh the coco and never really thought about it. Whenever I do a transplant...I water afterwards to settle the coco in. I try to keep coco at about an inch below top of bag...helps with watering. So my goal is that the pots are all filled to same height. I'm a very casual grower... JD

I need help setting up my first hydro system

With coir that seems real fine (lots of pith) I rinse it good using a collander to get rid of some of the super fine stuff. If you want to soak to get rid of sodium...use a storage bin and test water after awhile to see if EC rises. Rare to find too much Na in coco these days. Then I soak in...

I need help setting up my first hydro system

Our local Home Depot carries that brand. I have used it. I rinsed and buffered same as I do when using coco bricks. It worked OK for me. JD

    HELP!

Top left shot in the natural light posts showed this...on a lower leaf. Plus you are not adding any Mg. Ganja tends to need lots of Mg. Some strains worse then others. You can use calmag or epsom salts. !/4 to 1 tsp/gal ES depending on severity For calmag it depends on your product. I'd...

I need help setting up my first hydro system

Hi Nizza, Nutes are almost personal preference. Lots of people grow with the options you listed. I personally have used GH Maxi series for over a decade. Grows good and is reasonable. JD

    HELP!

You may want to add in some calmag too. It's not obvious in all shots...but there is some early interveinal chlorosis going on. Mg deficiency. JD

Can i prune these bottom leaves?

You can tell when a leaf is dead. totally dried up. I pluck them off at that point. I guess my main point is that being a little yellow is not a good reason to defoliate. Good luck... JD

    Nute Burn? HELP

Jd, Those little top burns and also a bit along edge of leaf...no biggie. I've had plants do that last couple grows. I use GH Maxi series at about that same level. That strain/pheno could be a light feeder. Maybe drop ppm 50 points...to see if it continues. JD

Can i prune these bottom leaves?

Leave them for now. They are still valuable to your plant. The energy that your plant uses to grow new leaves...comes from the old leaves. Pruning should be a part of a plan. If you need to control height...topping should be considered. That sort of thing. But defoliation on a vegging...

Can i prune these bottom leaves?

Cl, Not sure I understand why you want to trim them. Even if yellowed a bit...there's still plenty of N there that the plant would use if you just leave it. Don't defoliate till you understand why and how to do it. They are the plants energy source... JD

3rd time is not a charm. Yellowing of new growth. K problem?

Ef, Your led...is that true 300 watts? If not...and you're only at 30% could be lack of light. It is on new growth. Could be you are double dosing Mg and locking out some other cation. JD

Large pots dry at bottom slightly damp at top

Hi Bob, I grow in coco so it's different...but I give my 3 gal plants a 1 gal feeding. I don't think you're wetting all the soil. Try 1 1/2 gal or even 2 gallons. Pots...even fabric ones will evaporate more off the top. So it's not the interval between watering...it's the volume. JD

Any Ideas On What This Is ?

Aside from the fact that the plant looks crappy...after that transplant...the growth would stall while roots grow. Point 1...you cannot fix this by adding any nutrients...so don't even think of that. If you don't want to transplant into better soil...you could flush it. We're talking almost...

Any Ideas On What This Is ?

Could be that it's just growing roots. What size container now? Was it seed or clone? It's not a happy plant. Maybe transplant up to better soil...like StickyJones suggested...not sure it's necessary to wash all old soil off. JD

Any Ideas On What This Is ?

It does look like a lockout (blocking K+) . As the plant grows and soil gets weaker...it may grow out of it. JD
