I've grown DinaFem Critical+ and White Siberian. Both were easy. My first grow was DWC and I probably didn't do it as well as I could have.
Next I grew G13 Pineapple Express and White Widow in 2 gal smart parts, soilless with coco/perlite just so I could use my hydro nutes without the hassle...
Does the PPM change? If it is then something is being used more than something else. Maybe salts being consumed more than calcium causing it to go up - just for example.
You also have to realize that "flushing" is a broad term that means different things in different situations. In hydro/soilless flushing means running massive amounts of clean water through the medium to remove all salts, nutrients and everything else.. basically starting over. This can be done...
Moisture in the stems will rehydrate the buds during the curing process. You could also dry in a paper bag to evenly dry large amounts of various size pieces, and if some are moister than others they will rehydrate the drier ones to an extent.
Trichomes will change during the drying process as well, so harvesting at the first real signs of amber, even with a few clear is okay. You'll end up with some of the clears going cloudy and a few cloudy degrading into amber during the last days of metabolism. But that's a discussion for another...
Unfortunately you can only do so much with the harvest window. Most of the buzz is in the genetics of the plant. A heavy Indica harvested a little early is still going to hammer you in the face while a late Sativa is still going to send you on a soaring trip. You can alter the effects slightly...
You may have triggered it to ripen with the exposure to cold and change in environment. It may not swell up much more if all the trichomes are rapidly changing color.
Rotating would help but I tend to let my plants grow wild. During flower it's impossible to separate the intertwined branches without serious and unnecessary effort. I've had plants that produced their heaviest buds on the fringes of the grow room near the white reflective walls farthest from...
Most of us don't have humidors and they are way too humid anyway. Besides, I was sort of thinking 5+ year storage in case of a zombie apocalypse. Vacuum sealing and storing in a cool dark area should make some for valuable bartering material! :blsmoke:
Just harvested these 2 WW:
Front 2 lines are them hanging, rear 2 are Pineapple Express:
Little piece of freshly dried popcorn I smoked earlier.. yummy!
My new favorite method after trying it with popcorn is just to put it on a paper towel and set in on the cable box or some warm appliance over night. The paper towel will absorb moisture and disperse it evenly. Throw them in a pill bottle or mini-jar for a little bit and they soften back up, lay...
For super long-term storage you would probably want to go with vacuum sealed containers like those food saver bags or something. 6 months or so after jarring and it should last a lifetime sealed properly.
My previous grow was done in 5 gal dwc buckets. I didn't change the water during flowering at all. Just used an add-back calculator and kept the ph in check. Came out great!
There will be endless debates about doing it. Some swear by it, some don't care for it. I like to just skip the last light cycle and turn them off from there. 24-36 hours later and I can trim at my leisure. (nights-skip-night-chop for 36 hours) They will pretty much just stop doing anything...
