Oh they don’t have an issue dissipating 60w of heat it’s no problem. The issue is putting 60w of heat into the air on my room with low ceiling so low air volume. Even with ac units powerful enough the heat directly in front of the cobs is always a lot hotter than rest of the room. Plus liquid...
It’s citizen 12/12 mix of 4000 and 3000 90 cri chips half and half on each sink.
They put out a shit Load of heat as they are mounted vertically.
I am thinking of running strip lights mounted on copper pipe so I can actively cool with water.
60w per square foot. I’m switching up to water cooling soon. I went for 25mm wide circular heat sinks from China 13mm long fins and 10mm solid surface before the fins.
4 cobs per heat sink and 15w each. But like I say I plan on scrapping vertical growing and using a larger flat plane of grow...
Yeah I currently have a massive led setup with heat sinks wieghing 600 kilos of aluminium and two 1000l (1000kg) tanks for my nft setup so joists aren’t an issue
Probably comparably similar price tbh. But coco may not be my best option. Rockwool blocks may also be viable just looking for people’s experience to guide my decision
I’m considering a switch up to a high density sog setup.
I have a low ceiling issue so ideally I need moveable tables that I can move about if I need to gain access to the grow and for planting up.
I considered flood and drain but the height restriction would be an issue for the gravity drain...
