I just got a reminder of another reason why some growers might prefer the paper towel method. I had a Cheese seed that I was soaking in a paper towel. When it first showed a root, I thought it was ready to go into a peat pellet, so I went ahead and put it in one. Then the next morning I checked...
I've got a kind of old pack of seeds I bought from a dispensary in Santa Cruz. These are supposed to be Willie's Wonder, and I have heard that it will not flower outdoors. Does anyone know if that is true?
I bought a pack of "Willie's Wonder" seeds at least two years ago. I got them at a dispensary so I don't know for sure if they are the same Willie's Wonder or William's Wonder seeds that are said to be autoflower. But assuming that these beans are the autoflower strain, is it true that they will...
But seriously, that Blueberry kind of reminds me of Grape Ape. Never tried to grow Blueberry but I will one of these days, probably, cuz it's a classic strain, obviously.
Did you check for spider mites or thrips? Put a sheet of white paper under the leaves and give the plant a little shake. If you see little critters running around on the paper, it's probably mites or thrips or some other tiny pest.
But regardless, I don't see any serious damage in the photos...
Funny you mention this, because I just managed to somehow lose one of two feminized Cheese seeds I was soaking in a paper towel. I get impatient waiting for them to germ, so I was unfolding the towel to scope them out and must have dropped one on the ground. I felt like kicking myself in the...
Well, I had to Google Purple Catos and found that there's a women's shoes brand named Cato and they make lots of purple shoes. But I remember when I was a kid I loved The Green Hornet and Cato was played by Bruce Lee and inspired me to study martial arts until I got too old to keep getting my...
I wanted to add: Santa Cruz is a nice beach city with the nicest dispensaries I've ever visited (so far) in the US. The dispensaries I've encountered in and LA tend to be in "marginal" neighborhoods, have signage that is so "low key" it might as well be invisible. From outside, most of these...
A while back I got a pack of Purple Godfather Kush beans from an MTG Seeds booth at an event in San Francisco. These were regular seeds, so when they flowered I allowed a male to pollinate some of the females. So now I have maybe 30 seeds as a result of this "experiment." So if I bred a Purple...

Male Purple Godfather plant separated from females. Hoping to use pollen to breed a strain that will be good for migraines or other pains.
My wife gets bad migraines and the only medicine that consistently stops the pain is Granddaddy Purple, which is a "grandparent" to Godfather Purple. MTG's...
