Hi UMS,
I have an idea... though just curious what you think 2x3 area with plants 2 and a half feet tall with only 8 to 10 inch tops will produce?

I'd say let it cook for 30 days before using. Also depending on the age of plants you may want to fill only the bottom half SS and use a light potting soil to fill in around sides and about 1/2 on the bottom, use mychros when transplanting apply to root area.
I have a quick container recipe...
Hey OT,
Sounds like you have a little helper gardener in that Rat. If he were a pet, clean bill of health and a vegan eater I'd compost his droppings as a contribution to my garden!
You may want to try a combination of CFLs with mixed spectrums.
While vegging use 2/3 of your CFL lights...
More then likely because the fresh compost or casting will have live bacteria in it, specifically Bt (Bacillus Thuringiensis Berliner var. israelensis which is used in the product Gnatrol.

Also have plans to put a G13xAk47 into PHOGS to see how this hybird does as...
You want surface area over depth and you want multiple bins. I was hoping to build a DIY stacking bins to allow worms to crawl up into new food bin. Also cause worms multiply and if you have good environment you will need to expand to keep a good flow of vermi post coming. I am finding the two...

First it does not work to dry the soil alone for the larvae just go dormant and once moisture returns to the soil so will they.
Second letting the soil dry as recommended disrupts what is taking place in the soil web...
Ya da of MacGyver of Dank, RCM..
For me I don't use any large gallon cloth pots by design of my PHOGS system. The largest I have used is 3 gal to grow a 6 and half foot monster.
Now I use mostly 1 gallon and 2 gallon on occasion for PHOGS allows the lower part of the root growth for the...
