Those are lupine. A wild flower that grows in our area. They are just part of the landscape and were here when I bought the place.
I dont know much about companion plants. Ive never grown like that, but I've heard farmers swear by it.
Thanks.
They basically give away the used equipment that Us tax payers pay for. This truck had less then 10,000 miles on it when I bought it at auction for 5,500.
(I did my research before buying it.) Where else could you buy a farm truck thats so darn cool?
Thanks DOD....
Building the boxes for the new GH. Should have them finished today and I'll be going after another load of compost this afternoon.
My friend came up with his mini excavator yesterday and fixed up my pad some more by making me a nice entrance to back my truck into.
Started road raking the driveway this evening. I have the GH pad completely raked.
Saturday I got the first 24 plants in. Came home from my sons graduation and they were a bit wilted, so my wife had just watered them prior to this picture.
It's all this Monopoly money.
That keeps us from ever being Free.
And so it seems we'll be in this prison for life.....
It's always Money..money...Money...!!
So I keep Searchin.....
This will be our 4th season in this GH. The ridge is still straight as an arrow but I do have a few support braces inside that are bowed and need to be replaced. It would of been better if I had actually finished it. lol
Yes that's straight surf and turf.
Out with the old compost and in with the new. The first 24 will be going in tomorrow. My son graduates from high school Sunday. Then first of the week the other 48 will be going in.
Still have 1/2 the plastic to take off the GH but it won't harm anything for now. Seems like it's finally warming...
Yes we plan to build around the plants.
Rec is to up in the air for my liking. So we're doing all medical, just with more patient's.
@sandhill larry . I'm not the greatest at operating equipment but it gets the job done at an affordable price. lol
I'm exhausted today from being thrashed around...
The greenhouse pad is in and the driveway is fixed. I'm headed to get my rock rake back in the morning and I'll finish cleaning things up.
@thumper60 , only when the temps above 60 or so. It actually gets warm in that little greenhouse.
We have a soil place locally that has been taxing the industry for decades. $150 for 50/50 and $300 for black gold a yard.
Personally I prefer the surf and turf made from cow, seaweed and sea critters for $45 a yard delivered.
You know what your doing though and what works best in your area...
Got to unwind for a few hours last night. The Tool concert was awesome..
I'll upload some video clips from the concert later this evening. But now it's back to work.
Delusional..... Maybe.... But never mad my friend..!! (just trying to spread the love)
It's not looking good is it? Let's hope there's warmer days to come.
Thanks guys.
I should be moving earth shortly. The new greenhouse is going to be 28x64 or possibly 80ft long. I know I'm going wider for sure but I'll have to see if I can fit the extra length.
