If a fan leaf is in the way of a bud site and can't be trained out of the way, or the bud site can't be trained out of the way, I snip it. I prefer light at the bud site over a power leaf. Just preference. Seems like less larf though.
I think in going to run the new genetics on this schedule too. I see no real differences yet. Looks just like any other week old plant. Allows me better temp control as well.
Defoliation works well when applied well, just like anything else. Fimming is no different either. You just have to treat autos like they have an expiration date. Use it up while you can before it starts to expire.
I haven't had a heavy feeder from this batch yet, so I shouldn't have to. I add epsom salts to every other watering but that's about it.
I'll run them til they get to sexual maturity. I don't think they'll try to flower with this schedule but I guess you don't know til you try. I highly doubt...
It's a half ass thrown together mix, but all organic. I didn't add sand or coco. It's got enough eggshell and manure to keep good drainage though.
I'm going to say the 6/2 schedule is working fine so far. No different than normal. I'm just curious how it will react when it reaches maturity.
