I test the runoff. I have FFOF with 15% perlite in 5 gallon buckets, 12" saucers underneath to catch. Watering with 1 gallon of Poland spring water gives me about a pint of runoff to PH when I'm done. I use store bought Poland spring water. Any spring water from the store is extremely pliable...

Why we strip the bottom off or, 'lollipop' it? That is because once the plant fills in up top , particularly if you have multiple plants under one light, it is very difficult for the full intensity of the light to reach down near the base of the stem. There is some light penetration considered...

Also that hoops isn't a bad idea. It could also be used to hold everything upright.

I think ideally around 10 gallons a day would be nice. Preferably fast enough that I wouldn't be tending it for 5 hours to get it done each day. That leaves a gallon for each of the 6 5 gallon buckets plus some extra.

Greetings fellas. I'm hoping we can get a discussion on what is currently the best option for water filtration. My towns water is very heavy with metals and chlorine(I believe is what it is). Right now I'm doing a FF OF soil grow. 6 5 gallon buckets. Lst 600 watt.

Anyone want to take a stab at what ales this plant? It's been vigorous from the get-go compared to the rest. Probably the fastest growing and bushiest of them all. But for some reason the leaves on this one seem sort of dry, deformed with a little bit of that clawing. What has me perplexed is...

Very true on the mylar. A couple picture updates here. I'd say 2 more days and I will be dealing with just vertical growth. A couple branches haven't reached the side of the bucket yet. Should I top any more? My interpretation of this method is to let it grow to 1/3 of use able canopy height...
