Phenotype hunting - vegging vs flowering

I'm going to put few comments with red color in your essay, Odin: ================================================ Plenty of intelligent people have told you that you cannot identify the heaviest yielder in veg. It is apparent that you have already made up your mind and are only looking for...

    Highest gram per watt known?

Definitely did not manage to control all parameters perfectly. Actually I made few big mistakes. The biggest one was when the whole crop got so tight with first few weeks of flowering that air didn't get through, so under the crop (roots) was like 13C (55F) and on the crop was 33C (91F) at...

    Highest gram per watt known?

4 weeks vegging (counting from the point when clones got transplanted into coco) 10 weeks flowering (most of mass was picked at 9 weeks, but trimming took 3 weeks). Could say a total of 14 weeks then? 1.6g/w divided by 14 weeks = 0.114 which multiplied by 100 is 11.4 I'm a next level grower...

    Highest gram per watt known?

Yup, something went wrong with the conversion. I'm an european guy used with metric units.. so 1.60g per watt is correct though, which is 1.72kg or 3.79lb per light. Sry about that.

    Highest gram per watt known?

It was 3.56lb per light taking into account the total wattage of 1000w and 1150w - average of 1075w per light - this is 1.60g per watt :)

    Highest gram per watt known?

Please explain. You think 1000w will yield more than 1150w?

    Highest gram per watt known?

True. I vegged for 1 month without co2, but I think the same vegging results could be shortened to 3 weeks with co2 and few other corrections. Gram per watt isn't an accurate way to measure, but I think it's not accurate to say it doesn't mean anything either. I agree, productivity should be...

    Highest gram per watt known?

Fuck.. the first post got half of the text missing. I'll quickly try to re-type. Missing first part: I have lately claimed that I got 1.7g per watt, but it's not true. I got to admit I got the number by juding a small portion of wet weight. Even though I was quite sure what to expect as dry...

    Highest gram per watt known?

The biggest mistake was that I forgot to count in my superlumens. It's a digital ballast that could be dimmed to 1150w, but I took it as 1000w. The first half of the flowering was happening under 1000w and other half was under 1150w, so I took an average of 1075w per lamp and got exactly 1.60g...

Phenotype hunting - vegging vs flowering

If there are smart people here, would be also nice to hear your opinions about the connection between growth speed in veg stage and flowering time. Is it safe to assume that most probably those who grow fast in veg also flower faster and those who grow slowest in veg flower for a longer period...

Phenotype hunting - vegging vs flowering

Look. 150 seeds germinated. 150 plants vegged. 144 needed for flowering For the sake of simplicity I'd split all plants into 3 categories - big, medium and small. 6 small plants into elimination (4%). about 12 plants are medium sized (8%). and all the rest are quite evenly the big ones (88%)...

Phenotype hunting - vegging vs flowering

OP knows himself better what he's thinking and what he did. These two sentences which you quoted were written long before. The discussion I was and still am trying to build up has lead me to the conclusion that the slowest vegging plants are worthless business wise, because if the goal is to...

Phenotype hunting - vegging vs flowering

The main point I was trying to make was written in bold by the way - "I'm getting a really strong feeling that the smallest portion of vegging plants WILL NOT BE THE ONES WHO WOULD GIVE ME THE BEST ANNUAL YIELD." Also you were talking about how much yield you make per 4x4 room, but you didn't...
