I bought the new trike.....but the ol Schwinn is still a nice ride.

I bought a $300 Schwinn trike from walmart and put another $300 into the 1000w conversion kit & batteries. Range is all about the size of your battery. My new trike cost $3000.

a bought a cheap set of 4 12v sealed acid motorcycle batteries and wired them together. I had a buddy that does motorcycle repairs come over and help me with the wiring. I think I have less than $100 in the batteries.

This is my new e-trike with 50mile range & 30mph....

I estimate i can get about 20miles range with these batteries, although the most i have gone is 10. I don't have much more than 10 miles in me lol. This way it leaves room for groceries...

That's assuming you are 100% discharged. Your not likely to drive 1000 miles a day every day. Tesla's driver data shows 200 mile range is more than 99% use daily. You are not likely to need 1000 mile charge often if you plug in nightly...

in California we passed a law to make every new home an EV charging station. Full tank every morning. Wake& Bake, nothing better than that...

new, light weight batteries are in the pipeline & will drive cost down and extend range.....

are you trying to replace the gasoline automobile or the bicycle?...

consumers just aren't impressed with that little 3 wheel moped ev you posted. If you want to convert the masses over to electric you must give them something as useful as what that have now. Those little ev's are cute and all but just not practical for most people.
