Anybody tried the ELG version of Meanwells, Rather than HLG...

@caretak3r Is the driver not doing what its supposed to? Or was that due to your wrong choice of driver?

Anybody tried the ELG version of Meanwells, Rather than HLG...

Meanwell made a ELG version, which apparantly was created to be price competitive... Do the Meanwell 250w & 300w drivers run hot?

If I put 10 x 250W meanwell drivers running at that full capacity(2500W), would they output noticeable heat in my grow room? Ive read about the option of running the drivers out of the grow room, but I often do not see it being done as most people just mount the drivers on the cob fixture. Or...

How to calculate PPFD for my build?

Yes, its true most cases in the threads/YT videos I came across went above 65Tc from passive w/o airflow or smaller dial heatsinks However my point was browsing through many threads/yt comments shows people comparing figures at unrealistic/unequal cob configs. Also, are you getting that 35tc @...

How to calculate PPFD for my build?

Yep, thats true. this is what leads to the biased test results with diehard fanboys testing chips at 25tc vs 65tc

What would you recommend to replace a 1000w HPS in a 4x4 tent?

Why dont u build your own? The timberlight kit mentioned above is driving those Vero's it uses quite hard, outputting only 150 L/pw, you could afford more veros and drive them lower getting much better l/pw with the money saved going DIY.

    Anybody used/using/know Bright Star Drivers?

Wondering the quality of these drivers, as they appear to be around half the price of MeanWell's Alibaba Link - https://msdled.en.alibaba.com/product/60606672389-804160042/DALI_drimmable_led_driver_200W_24V_constant_voltage_led_driver.html I have seen them used in some Vero 29 builds...

    Which drivers for 40 x 770mA 65v - 50w.

I want to drive 40 Vero 29 C - 770mA 65v - 50w. I have been looking through the meanwell list http://www.meanwell.com/product/led/LED.html It seems alot of the constant voltage drivers above 200W all go up to 54v. Whilst the Constant current ones are either locked at 700mA or 1050mA. Its my...

Grow light competition. Timber grow lights 16 CXB 3590 800w fixture VS 3 CLW SS 5500 1200w

@MeGaKiLlErMaN hmm I see. Well, regarding efficiency, I think we are likely to see more efficiency from COBS than from blurple type LEDS, I could be wrong but I think COBS have a wider application useage and therefore more money to be made from them.

Grow light competition. Timber grow lights 16 CXB 3590 800w fixture VS 3 CLW SS 5500 1200w

I voted the timberlights panel, It looks to me like the leafs are more erect under the white light and are drooping under the CLW. Will be an interesting outcome, Let the best light win! @MeGaKiLlErMaN Do you have a link which proves the white light is better?
