Some additional holders - not so commonly seen

@Johnnycannaseed1 yeh, I thought the leadtime/availability maybe an issue, 11 weeks is too long

Some additional holders - not so commonly seen

I came across some different manufacturers other than Ideal and BJB, so thought some others might be interested. Some of the spec sheets look like they may have not been updated but perhaps they might also be compatible with the current COBS we are using... TE Whole range -...

    Heatsink machining drawing

Heatsinks don't have to be anodized, but they would be better if they was. Heatsinks are not Anodized to stop corrosion. You have a mis understanding of one of the benefits(big benefit too) of anodizing. Anodizing makes loads of little tiny holes in the material, those holes allow more air...

Can anybody identify these tent flooring mats?

Will check out PSUAGRO's suggestion at my local merchants, probably much cheaper than £30. these grow stores love to overprice.

    DIY Heat Exchanger Idea

I was thinking a similar thing just yesterday, but not the DIY way. Was gona put a small AC in a small room in the house, put the radiator and fan in that room - and leave the door closed. Can you think of any downsides to that? What 50W pump are you using? 2000L/ph?

    Heatsink machining drawing

But we want to transfer as much heat to the heatsink as possible, so that we can use its larger surface area to dissipate it. So if a black one absorbs heat better, more heat is being transferred to the heatsink - ideal scenario. If you reflect it off the heatsink(like some of you guys are...

Any good UV LEDS out there?

Wondering whether the best option would be to just use the ultra violet fluorescents...

    Heatsink machining drawing

I have read that black is better at passing heat from a few sources. But to add another value to the matter, Surely adding any colour dye to the anodized surface is only going to reduce the pore size(layer of dye has a thickness) therefore creating less surface area, overall making the heatsink...

    Heat from 1200W of 1212's/vero 29's/cxm-22/cxb3590 compared to 2x 600W?

Ok, from my experience over the years diff sources at similar wattage have produced diff room tempts too.

    Heat from 1200W of 1212's/vero 29's/cxm-22/cxb3590 compared to 2x 600W?

@MeGaKiLlErMaN You said that your 800W Cob produced less heat than a 800W DE HPS, this is pretty much my entire point from the start...

    Heat from 1200W of 1212's/vero 29's/cxm-22/cxb3590 compared to 2x 600W?

The fundamental point here seems to be whether the heat emitted from light generated is the same as heat generated from loss, IMO it wouldn't be, but thats me(maybe raging stalk too) vs everybody else. If the two are not the same, then it can't be true that 10 leds at 10% = the same heat as 1...

Opinions on how to light a 10x10 flower room Quantum, COB or Both?

If you average over 1GPW, I have seen multiple threads now of users running COBS getting 1.35-1.8 GPW+. Perhaps look at some Citi/Vero Chips. If cost is a concern, go with the Citizens, latest 6th gen 1212.s are going for around $11 each compared to latest Vero 29 at $25... Going with both QB...
