I just did yesterday. It was a little more than the top stem. I cut it to the height of the other plant. These are the 2 dwc plants.

Its so close it can touch it. I had it at about 16 in. Then moved it because I have no clue whats going on.

Ok bro. Thanks for the insight. I'll remove the bottom...elevate a little and clean up run off after. Thank you

That makes so much sense. Now my final question is...if I elevate it a little and remove the bottom will the roots start popping out the holes in the pot and get exposed to the light. Or am I overthinking it. I just hear light can kill the roots.

What do you suggest. Im a newbie. And this is my first batch. I didn't remove the bottom because I assumed roots would get thru and if I removed it I would possibly damage roots putting it back on.
