My RO water comes out at 7.5, my works RO comes out at 6.0, my grow partner's RO comes out 8.1. I don't think you can say what RO water PH is. Depends on the source. PH adjustment is simple and effective.

You have to always keep the air pump on. Keep the sprouts in the cubes outside your buckets until you see roots. I just use a pie tin. You can keep it in the bucket from the start but it will take a lot of checking and more work to keep the cube at the right moisture level.
