    intro to sun?

When growing indoors, I've always noticed that the plants seem to grow the most (or maybe it just seems that way) during the period the lights are off. I definitely like having at least 6 hrs of darkness (unless you're using an auto-flowering strain).

question on planting in pots and transplanting to outside

You'll see a little knot on the seed. Have the knot pointing up.

    bud size

Its more than likely nute burn. Try cutting back on that stuff some or better yet buy a better flowering nute if you've got the money. If you stay with the MG ferts, be sure to flush the hell out of your plants starting 2 to 3 weeks before you are ready to harvest.

I WISH I was high. Don't have the money to buy any. Have to rely on growing this year.

    Growing in short summer locations

I think one that most people would agree on is Bubba Kush. Probably one of the best medicinal high's available. I'm a med patient myself and I'm trying to get my hands on some of these seeds. I've heard they are easy to take cuttings of as well.

wooo, that pic screwed with me for a second. I thought the seedling was in the ground and the pot (or whatever is surrounding it was your actual background in the distance. And I'm not even high. Let it grow man. It may surprise you who knows.

These are the woods they will grow up in... svchop889 2010 outdoors:

I'm getting some lemon purps (seeds) from a friend in Cali. They came from Humboldt Co. from the Purps crossed with a mystery male. He's very close to harvesting some right now indoors and reports they smell like skunky lemonaide. Have fun with your breeding project. Hope you get what you're...

    intro to sun?

Definitely start introducing them to your outdoor environment. As for the light question, I'm still wondering about that myself. I've heard people say to gradually reduce your light schedule until you plant them, but then others say the decreasing of the light will just make them switch to...

question on planting in pots and transplanting to outside

I would water the soil first when you are ready to place the germ'd seed in. Then poke the little hole, drop the seed in (not too deep) and sprinkle a little bit of soil over it. I know they say not to pre-germ seeds, but I just HAVE to see when and if the seed actually germinate. Just a...

LOL, I've seen a few retarded plants in my time as well (a bit too many). Sometimes they will shock you though, so definitely keep it alive if you have the time and resources. Love to see some pics.

anyone that has used peatmoss, PLEASE help

Personally, I would use more than a gallon of water, especially with peat moss. That stuff drains like a mo'fo. Using straight peat moss (and 30 gallons of it) I'd definitely be sure to water on a VERY consistent basis to make sure it doesn't dry out. By the way, I'm just a little south of you...

3 weeks old and only 1 1/2 to 2 inches tall

It looks healthy. Usually they are bigger than that by 3 weeks, but don't get too alarmed. It should eventually take off. What are your temps outdoors? Starting seeds outdoors can sometimes lead to a slow start, that's why I like to start them indoors under a controlled environment and...

anyone that has used peatmoss, PLEASE help

By the way, I've never used 100% peat moss because it can take a LOT of water. It can almost drain too well by itself.

anyone that has used peatmoss, PLEASE help

When you water it does the water kind of build up on top then slowly sink in? What stage/how big is the plant that you have in the soil right now (ie how big is the root ball)? When I was watering decent sized plants last season, they usually took more than 1 gallon to water. I'd use the tried...

    busted outdoors!

I live in NC and the police department in my area has stated that they are focusing more on indoor grows. They "think" everyone's gone indoors with this stuff and they have greatly reduced efforts to find outdoor grows. Either way, I don't give a SHIT. I'm a 29 yr old cancer patient and I'm...

    Good Outdoor Strain?

I really like growing plants that have Skunk #1 crossed into it. Grows so well. I really think you should check out Mazar x Skunk #1 called LSD from Barney's Farm.

    8 weeks old outdoor grow

I'm not seeing any pre-flowers. Just let that thing veg throughout the summer and you could end up with a huge plant and great yield by September/October (if it turns out female). Is that 2 different plants? By the way what size containers you got them in?

    intro to sun?

O.K., still not completely sure about all of this. Maybe there is no perfect answer? I'm in the same situation as the OP, trying to harden my seedling off, except mine is only a week old and is just developing its first fingered leaves. Its just one fem'd cheese seedling from Greenhouse...

    medical marijuana

I'm really sick of it too. I'm a cancer patient in NC. My oncologist advises me to smoke marijuana and says if it passes, I'll be instantly approved. They better pass this damn marijuana legislation coming up.
