    LED COB bar project

Running the veros29 @1.05A will make them 44.75% efficient. Each will give off 37.7 DisspW, 16.87 of which will be PARW. I'll have to run each bar with a 150W driver. Any suggestions for a driver compatible with the Vero29s? This will decrease the whole COB consumption from ~1.6KW to ~1.2KW...

    LED COB bar project

    Same calculations for the CXB3070 AB @ $28.5 (IF) 4xCXB3070 AB x 8 bars 10 x HLG-185H-C1400B x 43.90 euro = 439 + 45.07 shipping 40 x CXB3070 AB x 25.68 euro = 1027.20 + 112.67 shipping 1623.94 4xCXB3070 AB x 49.83 Dissp.W@1.4A@45.43% = 22.64 PARW x 4 = 90.55 PARW If...

    LED COB bar project

I'll ask him again, because if you are right I'll get the CXB3070s. It is way better! Otherwise I'll go with the Veros and just Blow them harder ;)

    LED COB bar project

Sounds good, but I don't think you have the price right. I can't find it anywhere that low, the lowest I find it is $36.5.

    LED COB bar project

Yes I am. I cannot afford the most expensive stuff, well for now anyway. Electrical bills are gonna be lower with the COBs, not significantly but at least... Where I live is hot all year round. I cannot deal with heat that well without spending a lot on ventilation. Don't HPS have this as a...

    LED COB bar project

Thanks man, I figured that one out myself. ;) After a lot of questions, A LOT, thinking over designs, number of chips, number of drivers, heatsinks, fans etc. I had the time to contact a few suppliers get the prices for everything that I might need, which was again a lot of asking. When I...

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

I am confused again. Hm..... 3 chips from 36V version would be able to run with these watt at this current. Yes? But the drivers' output voltage i higher than 36V, so they won't be able to run 3 Chips at all. Is that right?

    'Next gen' COBS?

Aren't all types/brands of chips capable of emitting light similar to day light (5600K). Isn't the "cheap" COB from the video just with different color temperature from the Yuji one?

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

I now it may be a stupid question... but Can I run 3x CXB3590 CD 72v@1.4A with this: http://eu.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Mean-Well/LPC-150-1400/?qs=sGAEpiMZZMt5PRBMPTWcaY9Bjg3OKYMlXsqyl0pq4CE5tUcv4JDCpA== or this...

    LED COB bar project

Man, that a lot of juice! How many plants do you have under the fixture? How tall are they? I am aiming for higher efficiency and lower Dissp.W. According to what I've come up with as numbers even if I am running at 50% at 40 Dissp.W per COB, I still get 20 PAR W per COB which is 480 PAR W all...

    LED COB bar project

I was thinking about the coverage, COBs per driver, number of chips etc. I came up with something which holds 6 COBS driven by either one 240W driver or two 120W ones for a space of 2x4ft. I know it´s maybe too much but the 3D models help me imagine better what I want, so here it is. Edit...

    LED COB bar project

As you remember my original plan was to build 8 bars each having 4 COBs which in this (196W Diss @ 56%) case would mean 49 Dissp. W/sq ft @ 56% = 27.4 PAR W / sqft. From what I have read this is more than enough. Given the fact that I am planning a SOG grow (128 plants in the 8x4 ft), and the...

Chinese LED grow lights - worth it?

Great! That was my plan to, before the Chinese grow light fiasco. Then when time comes Kingbrite are the people! good that I have already made contact with one guy from their alibaba team. ;)
