    DIY with Quantum Boards

Robincnn posted the data on the hlg site for the QB. I just did a cost comparison with the citi 1212 vs. QB288. For similar wattage the citi is $40 cheaper but what I came up with the QB288 puts out more par even running with more current. I believe it's over 26% more.

I'm curious, has anyone posted a citi eff. chart/data for the 1212 at cob level ?

Maybe you should be running them at 24w per board if everyone that wants to run them hard is wrong. I figured it was well know that paying for more equipment and running soft was more eff. Put 20 QB in that 4x4 since its the best way.

Eww that's bad timing. Need those single slate 2 sinks so I can run over 100w. Guess I'll have them during the next veg cycle.

@Stephenj37826 & @robincnn will you be updating your site with the 304 S6 bin stats soon?

Everyone has different wants/needs so a one size fits all doc probably wouldn't cut it. You can cover a 4x4 many ways! There are 2 QB types. There are many driver options and you can use 1 to 40 number of QB in that space.

So you guys are really going to continue selling 304? Also I thought 288 put out more par/watt than the 304?

Should be fine the forward voltage of that driver is 238v and your power will max around 210watts with about 60% board eff.

Go to their website, pick a driver and the wire diagram is also there. 2 boards in series on a hlg240-C2100A.

Lol... Its not a model... You have to build it. Also the boards don't "need" a fan. They are passive.

The 288 are $75 each also and I would get two. Then you need two heatsinks $30?. The driver is about $65 for 230watts or S45 for 151watts. Just under $300 I guess.

Don't think there is an option anymore. The 288 is the upgrade and only choice.

I thought they was both 2 boards on each driver in series.

    So 4 54v QB on 2 hlg240- 2100 would be the same?

    2800/4= 700mA 54v x 700mA = 37.8w each 37.8w x 4QB = 151w total Looks like you aren't using that driver up to its potential. Usi g 363w to get 151w in output.

How did you wire them up? 2 series sets in parallel?

2 boards for sure in series it might be over the forward voltage for 3 in series.
