so basically im going to be better off buying a lamp which holds both HPS and MH bulbs right? That way i can start with my MD bulbs from veg stage then plug the HPS bulb in wen im ready to start flowering right?? That would save me money as i wud jus need the 1 lamp and 2 bulbs

another question is that im seeing alot of Dual Spectrum lights....those this mean that it emits both blue and red light onto the plants?? should i avoid this and stricly keep it blue then red???

klkl...thanks for the help...even doe it is a stealth grow myself and my brother do smoke weed in the house and its not a problem with my parents aslong as we only smoke upstairs in our rooms...but will the smell of these budd'ing plants be stronger then the smell of actually smoking??

Hey, I live in the UK and i was wondering if i went into my local homebase or B&Q what should i pick up for the soil..I think i remember it being 3 different things mixed together but if sumbody who shops in these garden centers knows the brands i need to pick up and the percentage i mix...

no they said that a 200W cfl was suitable for that type of tent and if i wanted a more powerful light (When i switch to the HID during flowering) then i need a bigger tent..Surely it would melt or anythin..

haha not sloppy at all, im actually understanding what im looking for....One very last question (sorry if im boring you) but that grow box i was looking at was saying that you should get a bigger one if your looking to use higher then a 200w cfl.....Is that a strict guideline or them just trying...

yea i was going to use the CFL stricly for the 18light 6hr dark cycle at the start then switch to the HID..So would that HID be good enough? or would Great Stuff Hydroponics > 400w MaxiBright HPS & MH Grow Light that be better? Whats this inexpensive alternative i could use? thanks for the help...

lol fair enough..I havent really got the mechanical skills to really design anything myself. Plus i might have to move location as it is a stealth grow. I wont be able to move anything if i build it...But i understand what u saying.. But as for everything else, am i on the right track??

Hey, Below ive got a list of equipment im looking at and why im purchasing it. If you could please comment where i might be going wrong or where i might be better off spending my money i would much appreciate it.. CFL Lights > CFL Grow Lights > High Output CFL Systems - Im looking at the one...

Also the HPS bulb that comes with Great Stuff Hydroponics > 400w GIB Lighting Grow Light Is this going to be a 'red' bulb for the flowering stage as opposed to the blue bulb you have for growing?? or is that only when using CFL??

Okay so its worth having the two seperate lights then..CFL for growing and HPS for Flowering...But will good ventilation be needed if i use the HPS? as its going to be a bit of trial and error for me to create the best conditions in my attic...once again thanks for the help

im not under such a tight budget..Basically i will spend a bit if the results reflect the price..but if its just a slight upgrade then i guess ill leave it.. Is it important to switch from a cfl in veg to a hps light or could i switch the blue bulb in veg stage to a red one in flowering stage...

How much would it cost to purchase all the lights you mentioned above? what kind of budget would i need? Is there also a certain light i could use throughout the whole process or is it vital i change to different light sources??
