Fluffy you still seem confused. Your timer is your big problem. 30-45 minutes off off time is way too much. Get yourself a short cycle timer. Spray on time 1 minute, then off for 3-5 minutes. A short cycle timer is what you need.

I have ben using an aero cloaner of some sort, purchased and homemade for over 7 years. 100% success. Plain water changed every 3-5 days. I have used clonex liquid fertilizer without much difference. Most strains take 7-14 days. I like to veg them in it an extra week before putting in hydroton...

Sure you can flip the light, depending on how you want to finish them. Full size plants or a sog/scrog set up. You want your plants 8 to 18 inches tall. Like Renfro said they will stretch 50-150% after you flip the light.

Renfro is on the money. I also do mh "at least 1st week of flower" some times 2 depending on strain. Then I run super HPS dual spectrum, my girls seem to love wider spectrum.
